Red Cross Society Names New Board

BASSETERRE — The St. Kitts and Nevis Red Cross Society has elected a new governing board to lead its humanitarian and community work over the next two years.

Following its recent general assembly, Dr. Kerdis Clark was elected President. She will be supported by Vice Presidents Mrs. Vercelette Molyneaux (St. Kitts) and Mrs. Georgette Hanley (Nevis). Mrs. Vernesia Walters takes the role of Treasurer, while Mr. Za Meire GiVace serves as Youth Director.

Floor members include:  Mrs. Corlis Hyligar & Ms. Kerine Warner for St. Kitts, and Ms. Pearl Bartlette & Ms. Philicia Walters for Nevis. The board is further strengthened by branch directors rs. Shantell Pemberton-Chumney and Chris Clark, legal adviser Mrs. Shyra Manners, and disaster coordinator Timothy Martin.

The new leadership team will guide the organisation’s efforts in emergency response, disaster preparedness, health and social programmes across both islands.

The appointment comes at an important time as the Red Cross continues to support vulnerable communities and build stronger disaster resilience in the Federation.
