Basseterre, St. Kitts, August 13, 2020 (ZIZ News): ZIZ Broadcasting Corporation is joining other institutions across the federation in mourning the passing of former Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Sport, Broadcaster and commentator, Lloyd Lazar.
According to a medical official Mr Lazar passed away around7:30 pm on Wednesday at the Accident and Emergencies department at the Joseph N France General Hospital.
Mr. Lazar volunteered as a newsreader and sport commentator for about ten years at ZIZ.
The National Emergency Management Agency has also registered its sadness at Mr. Lazar’s passing.
According to a post on NEMA’s Facebook page “Mr. Lazar was an exemplary member of the NEMA District Volunteer Corps for many years extending beyond his residence within the community where he served. He will be remembered for his hard work and dedication to Disaster Management via his contributions to District #1, way beyond his residence within the community and his capacity to serve.”
Lloyd Lazar died at the age of 66 years old.
