Basseterre, St. Kitts, October 31st , 2020 (ZIZ News):

The general public, Uniformed Groups, Ex-Servicemen, Clubs and Associations are being reminded that a Special Service will be held at the War Memorial in St. Kitts and Nevis on Sunday 8th November 2020 in observance of Remembrance Day.

The special ceremony is held each year in remembrance of those who gave their lives in the Great Wars of 1914-1918 and 1939-1945.

This year, the service is being scaled down to accommodate the COVID-19 protocols. Therefore, all groups and associations are asked to send a representative body of members to attend the Service.

All persons, whether in attendance or not, are asked to observe a 2 minute moment of silence at the beginning of the ceremony. This includes the halting of all vehicular traffic.

The Remembrance Service is set to begin at 8 a.m. All COVID-19 Protocols will be observed.
