RLB International Airport Renovations On Target To Meet Deadline Ahead Of Border Reopening On October 31

Prime Minister of St. Kitts and Nevis, Dr. Hon. Timothy Harris provided updates on preparations underway ahead of St. Kitts and Nevis’ borders reopening, during a sitting of the National Assembly on the morning of Thursday October 15 2020.

During his presentation, Prime Minister Harris advised that according to the Chair of SCASPA, Damion Hobson work is steadily progressing at the RLB International Airport.

He said work on the arrivals welcome Centre is now 70% complete, while Civil works like construction on sewage systems is 80% complete.

He also explained that the former VIP Lounge has been transformed into a Medical Room to meet the necessary COVID-19 protocols.

Dr. Harris said the soon to be completed project is still on target to meet its October 26 deadline.

He wrapped up by noting that SCASPA has assured that work on the R.L Bradshaw International Airport will be completed in time for the reopening of the federation’s borders on Saturday October 31 2020.
