SKELEC Honors Retirees

Eight persons who were employed with St. Kitts Electricity Company (SKELEC) for up to 30 years, were honored at a retirement ceremony on Friday.

The ceremony comes as SKELEC celebrates 10 years. These persons worked at the Electricity Department before it transitioned to SKELEC.

Managers of each department paid tribute to the retirees and thanked them for the work they have done.

Manager of Finance at SKELEC Pearl Williams said it is good when persons can be given their flowers while they are still alive and encouraged each retiree to be proud of the work they have done over the years.

General Manager Clement Jomo Williams wished the retirees well as they embark on a new phase of their lives.

Minister of Utilities Hon. Shawn Richards thanked the retirees for their service and wished them well.

The retirees are Arlene Joseph, Gerzel Mills, Steadman Matthew, Dennis Bowers, Leroy Mcmahon, Alnie Queeley- Amory, Edmund Paul and Vincent Mills.
