SKELEC Payment Plan Assistance

Basseterre, St. Kitts, January 29, 2021 (ZIZ News) In an effort to assist customers who are behind on their bills and may face disconnections The St. Kitts Electricity Company (SKELEC) will be offering a new feature to their deferred payment arrangements.

Right now the deferred payment plan allows persons to reduce the amount owned by paying on the mothly bill and the arrears in monthly installments.

However SKELEC’s Corporate Communications Manager Patrice Harris told ZIZ News that starting next week the company is adding a new option to make starting the payment plan easier.

She said this decision to begin disconnections is not sudden but customers who have owed large amounts have been repeatedly notified.

Miss Harris says customers will have a maximum of 3 years to pay off the balance while remaining up to date with their current bill.

The option to choose your initial payment will be offered from the 1st to the 14th of February.
