The St. Kitts Nevis Defence Force (SKNDF) donated a brand new wheelchair to 24 year old Cameron Liburd of Lime Kiln on Friday September 18.
During the brief handing over, Major Walter Bass of the (SKNDF) said that the donation is a result of the Force’s outreach initiative and shared how the wheelchair was acquired.
“The chair was procured through the initiative of Mr. Warrant Officer Laughton Huggins and it was ordered and cleared by the Defence Force and so we are taking this opportunity to make an offer to Mr. Cameron Liburd. We know that this is just a token of what the Defence Force can do as part of its outreach initiatives and so we would like to just wish you all the very best”
Cameron’s mother, Carol Rouse accepted the wheelchair on his behalf and thanked the St. Kitts Nevis Defence force for the kind gesture.
The ceremony was held at the SKN Defence Force Headquarters.
