St. Kitts Strengthens Partnerships in St. Maarten

St. Maarten: Representatives from the St. Kitts Tourism Authority recently conducted strategic meetings with travel industry partners in St. Maarten as part of ongoing regional engagement efforts.

Danielle Weekes, Business Development Manager, and Drunisha Hanley, Caribbean Sales & Events Officer, met with key players including K K Travels and Tours, Travel Planners, Rising Sun Tours, the Chamber of Commerce – Saint Martin, and Caraïbes Incentive.

The Authority’s outreach focused on building collaborative relationships to enhance St. Kitts’ position in the regional tourism market. Discussions centered on establishing channels for sharing destination updates, travel trade information, and identifying business opportunities with industry partners and chamber members.

“These engagements aim to strengthen partnerships, support the travel trade, and further position St. Kitts as a competitive and desirable destination within the regional market,” according to the Authority’s statement.

The meetings represent a targeted approach to expanding St. Kitts’ reach among travel professionals in neighboring territories. By engaging directly with tour operators, travel planners, and business chambers, the Tourism Authority seeks to increase awareness of St. Kitts as a destination option for regional travelers.

The initiative demonstrates the Authority’s commitment to proactive market development beyond traditional advertising, leveraging personal relationships and professional networks to drive destination awareness. Travel agents and tour operators serve as critical gatekeepers in influencing destination choices for both leisure and business travelers.

The St. Maarten meetings are part of the Tourism Authority’s broader strategy to maintain regular contact with regional travel trade partners and ensure St. Kitts remains top-of-mind when booking Caribbean destinations.
