According to I-Witness News, the father of brothers Jamalie and Jamall who died in the tragedy is now serving a 15-month prison sentence in Martinique after he was convicted of illegally entering the country.
The situation has been especially hard on Jemma Edwards, the mother of the two sons, according to Gonsalves.
He was speaking at a media event where a gospel CD entitled The Healer was launched to raise funds for the victims of the tragedy and their families.
