Basseterre, St. Kitts, January 1st, 2020 (ZIZ News) The police are investigating a robbery at a supermarket on Wellington Road on Friday morning.
According to a police report at about10 am, an assailant wearing a hoodie jumped over the counter at the Daily Food Supermarket and take a sum of money from the cash register.
The Police say the thief threatened the supermarket worker with his hand in his hoodie pocket so it was unclear if he was armed or not. The assailant then fled the scene.
No one was injured in the incident.
Investigations are ongoing and the police are asking anyone with information about this incident to call the nearest police station or the Crime Hotline at 707.
