The Joy Project, a non-profit organization dedicated to empowering and uplifting vulnerable members of society, celebrated St. Kitts and Nevis’ 42nd Independence Day by visiting the JNF General Hospital to bring joy and support to new mothers and expectant mothers.
On this special Independence Day holiday, The Joy Project visited the hospital’s Maternity Ward to share love and support with four new mothers and one expectant mother. Each recipient received a specially curated Independence gift basket filled with essential baby items and thoughtful gifts designed specifically for mothers.
“We extend our gratitude to the Maternity Ward team for warmly accommodating us, and we wish all the mothers and their beautiful babies good health, happiness, and a bright future ahead,” said Diani Jimesha Prince-Drew, founder of The Joy Project and wife of Prime Minister The Hon. Dr. Terrance Drew.
The Independence Day hospital visit exemplifies The Joy Project’s mission to empower, uplift, and bring joy to vulnerable members of society, with a special focus on women and children. The organization’s commitment to supporting new mothers during this significant time reflects its dedication to caring for the most vulnerable in the community.
“This foundation is a deeply personal endeavor—an expression of my love and gratitude for St. Kitts and Nevis, the place that welcomed me with open arms and gave me a sense of belonging I will forever cherish. It’s my way of giving back to the country I now proudly call home,” stated Mrs. Prince-Drew.
The organization’s vision is to serve as a beacon of compassion and opportunity, creating a legacy of positive change across St. Kitts and Nevis. Each initiative undertaken by The Joy Project represents a step toward honoring the nation and its people, particularly the most vulnerable members of society.
