Tross Adds Silver on Championship Day Two

St Vincent and the Grenadines: Teadrian Tross continued his stellar performance at the 33rd OECS Swimming Championships, claiming silver in the 200m freestyle on Day 2 in St. Vincent & the Grenadines.

The young swimmer’s silver medal on Saturday, November 8th adds to an impressive medal haul for Team St. Kitts & Nevis, which now stands at five medals across the first two days of competition.

Day 1 saw Team SKN secure four medals. Eight-year-old Edith Denne dominated her age group to claim gold in the 100m freestyle, while Tross stormed through the 50m breaststroke for his first gold medal of the championships.

Skyla Connor powered through the 400m freestyle to secure bronze, and veteran swimmer Jennifer Harding-Marlin earned bronze in the 100m backstroke in the 18 & over category.

Tross has emerged as a standout performer, collecting both gold and silver medals across different freestyle and breaststroke events. His versatility demonstrates the depth of talent in St. Kitts & Nevis swimming.

The 12-member Team SKN squad, competing across five age categories, continues to make waves at the regional championships. With multiple events remaining, the Federation’s swimmers are positioned to add to their medal count.

In the overall team standings after Day 2, St. Kitts Nevis Aquatic Federation sits in fifth place with 92 points. Grenada National Swim Team leads the championships with 836 points, followed by St. Lucia National Team with 803.5 points and host nation St Vincent Swim Team with 747.5 points.

Despite facing strong regional competition, Team SKN’s medal performances demonstrate the growing strength of swimming in the Federation. With multiple events remaining, the team continues fighting to climb the standings and add to their impressive medal collection.
