T&T man on 20 charges for sexually assaulting 12-y-o daughter

Port of Spain (Trinidad Express) — A father appeared in court Monday on 20 charges of sexually assaulting his 12 year old daughter between September 2013 and last week.

The matter was heard before Deputy Chief Magistrate Mark Wellington in the First San Fernando Magistrates’ Court.

The man was denied bail because of the number of charges and because he lived at the same address with the victim.

He did not have an attorney.

The matter was adjourned to August 11.
