Tucker Clarke Primary Crowned Champs of Champs

BASSETERRE – Tucker Clarke Primary School etched their name into St. Kitts athletics history, claiming the Giant Malt Champs of Champs title at the Kim Collins Athletic Stadium on Saturday, February 14th.

The Tucker Clarke Titans topped the final medal table with an impressive haul of 20 gold, 14 silver, and 17 bronze medals — outpacing rivals St. Paul’s Primary (12G, 4S, 11B), Sandy Point Primary (6G, 18S, 10B), and Cayon Primary (6G, 8S, 6B).

The zonal championship, organised by the Department of Sports, brought together the top primary schools from across the island in a full day of fierce competition.

Tucker Clarke’s dominance was driven by standout performances from Leilani Sargeant and Delvis Gumbs, who claimed both the Victrix and Victor Ludorum titles respectively — the highest individual honours of the meet. Under-11 and Under-13 events proved particularly decisive as the Titans pulled clear of the field.

Cayon Primary’s Eltisha Gibson was another star of the day, earning the Victrix Ludorum distinction alongside Sargeant after a commanding Under-13 performance. St. Paul’s Amelia Connor and Jaiden Dorsett claimed the two Under 7 championships.

Title sponsor Giant Malt and the Department of Sports were praised for delivering what officials described as “a championship worthy of the stage.”
