Two more confirmed positive COVID-19 cases

(ZIZ News) – St. Kitts and Nevis has recorded two more confirmed positive COVID-19 cases bringing the national total to 14.

During Tuesday’s daily COVID-19 briefing Minister of State responsible for health the Hon. Wendy Phipps announced that the two cases both live in St. Kitts and both are close contacts of previously discovered cases.

Minister Phipps said one of the two new cases is a close contact of a previous patient and the other is a family member living in quarantine with another patient.

She said these are examples of local spread within a household but not local transmission within the community.

She said contact tracing is now underway.
