BASSETERRE:Lodge Patriots remain top of Division One with 30 points, but the latest standings reveal a fiercely competitive playoff race — with just nine points separating third-placed Village Galaxy from seventh-placed Saddlers United and the chasing pack refusing to give up.
Lodge Patriots sit at the summit on 30 points from 13 matches — ten wins, a goal difference of +33, and a two-point cushion over Garden Hotspurs in second. However, following Mantab’s stunning 3-2 upset of Patriots last week, the title is no longer the formality it once appeared. Hotspurs, who have dropped just one match in their last six, will sense an opportunity.
The biggest story in the updated table is the rise of Village Galaxy. Eight wins, three draws, and just two defeats has propelled them to third place on 27 points — one behind Hotspurs and firmly in contention for a top-two finish. Galaxy are unquestionably one of the form sides in the league and cannot be overlooked in the title conversation.
Below the top three, the playoff race is intense. Trinity/Challengers United sit fourth on 22 points, with Mantab fifth on 21 and Molineux sixth on 20. Saddlers United are seventh on 18 — all four sides are very much alive in the hunt for postseason football. A single bad run of results could see any of them drop out of contention entirely.
At the foot of the table, Security Forces United on 11 points and Conaree Fireball International on 7 are battling to avoid the drop, while Rivers of Living Water remain rooted to minus three points following their earlier six-point deduction under Rule 10(a) of the SKNFA Competition Rules. With a goal difference of -51 from 13 matches, their Division One survival is all but over.
