We Won’t Run Out Of Doses

Basseterre, St. Kitts, March 24th,  2021 (ZIZ News)   Chief Medical Officer, Dr. Hazel Laws says the federation will have enough doses of the Oxford-Astrazeneneca Vaccine to cover the target number of patients over the next few months.

During the Prime Minister’s Press Conference on Tuesday, Dr. Laws said the current batch of 20 thousand doses will be enough to be administered up to when the next batch arrives in a few weeks.

Prime Minister Dr. Hon. Timothy Harris says in the meantime he has been meeting with OECS Heads to secure more vaccines for vulnerable countries in the region as larger nations around the world are reportedly hoarding doses.

The Prime Minister urged everyone to get the vaccine immediately while it is readily available.

Vaccinations are being done at all clinics beginning at 1pm on weekdays and from 9am to noon on Saturdays at Newtown, Basseterre, Tabernacle, and St. Paul’s Health Centers.
