BASSETERRE, ST. KITTS, April 5, 2021 (MMS-SKN) — One week after the Peoples Labour Party (PLP), the fastest growing party in the Caribbean, held the hugely successful 2021 National Convention on the grounds of the Ottley’s playing field, action was back on Ottley’s this time on the hardcourts as hundreds converged there at the end of Prime Minister’s Monthly Health Walk on Saturday April 3.
“Today we had a fantastic turnout for the health walk, notwithstanding all the competing activities,” said Prime Minister and National Political Leader of the Peoples Labour Party Dr the Hon Timothy Harris. “To me it was a very good sight to witness the huge turnout that we had today. I thank all those who participated. We had some newcomers, and newcomers are always welcome.”
Heavy rains the previous evening did not stop health conscious walk enthusiasts who had assembled at the Bellevue Bus Stop from as early as 5:00 am. They were called to order by National Chairman of the Peoples Labour Party, Mr Warren Thompson, at 5:45 am and after a word of prayer by PLP National Women Representative, Mrs Sonia Henry, they set off for Ottley’s.
The Honourable Prime Minister commended the group from St. Paul’s and in particular Mr Shaheed Williams who organised to have a large turnout and brought a group of newcomers from Constituency Number Six. He hoped that they will be regular in their attendance and will also continue to bring new persons.
“It was good to have the youth leaders participating, Ms Katherina Davis, and Mr Jeremiah Locker, and I want to commend their involvement,” said Dr Harris of the two PLP National Youth Representatives. “I want to thank those members of the Executive who took time to be there and in particular to acknowledge Dr Bernicia Nisbett who participated.”
Other members of the National Executive of the Peoples Labour Party who were also commended by the National Political Leader included National Secretary Ms Myrtilla Williams, National Treasurer Mr Rawle Mars, Women Representatives Mrs Sonia Henry and Ms Petrona Thomas, National Legal Representative Ms Violet Williams, National Deputy Secretary Ms Desiree Huggins, and National Deputy Treasurer Mrs Patrice Ofre.
“I want to thank all the executive members and to thank the team,” said Dr Harris. “I think today they did something very special being Easter, in terms of adding more to the breakfast and a wider offering. So I want to thank all those who would have helped in any way – who would have made donations to the effort and in particular the young ladies who took the time to serve the hundreds of people who participated.”
All eight Peoples Labour Party Executive Branches were well represented by party membership while Constituency Number Five had its Chairman Mr Glenville Mills, and Deputy Chair Ms Marsha Lewis, and Constituency Number Seven had its Chairman Mr Lenworth Harris.
Regular participants of the Prime Minister Monthly Health Walk, which is now held under the umbrella of SKN Moves, included Resident Ambassador of the Republic of China on Taiwan His Excellency Tom Lee and embassy staff, Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Education Mr Vincent William Hodge, Director of St. Christopher and Nevis Social Security Board Mr Antonio Maynard, and Deputy Clerk of the National Assembly Ms Trevlyn Stapleton.
Also on the walk was the visiting Trinidad-based Consultant Clinical/Forensic Psychologist, Dr Sharon-ann Gopaul-McNicol who delivered the keynote at the convention which was held on the grounds of Ottley’s playing field on March 27.
“I commend the Ambassador of the Republic of China on Taiwan His Excellency Tom Lee for coming and being part of the whole effort to get St. Kitts and Nevis more active physically on the move,” said Dr Harris. He also commended some persons from the Ross University, for coming out and supporting the walk and by so doing adding to their own health and wellness.
Efforts by young men led by Eldon ‘Big T’ Harris in mobilising the transportation to and fro of the participants, also came in for high commendation from Prime Minister Harris.
“I would say our post-convention activities have been well attended,” he observed. “We had a successful church service the Sunday after the convention at The Temple Church in Dieppe Bay, and today we were able to follow up with a very successful health walk. Tomorrow we go to church at the House of Deliverance New Testament Church of God in Tabernacle and I basically just want to commend the efforts of all who have made the hosting of these events possible.”

Addressing an audience of party supporters and well-wishers, Prime Minister Harris said, “I want also to record my appreciation really to the entire Cabinet but also to the deputy prime minister who has been a good support and a good friend.”
The honourable prime minister also reaffirmed his party’s commitment to the Team Unity coalition, noting that it is the tripartite coalition of parties that will continue to deliver the stronger and safer future for all the people of St. Kitts and Nevis.
“In spite of very difficult moments, when the country needed us we have been able to go beyond personal convenience and personal ambitions to put St. Kitts and Nevis first and foremost,” Dr. Harris.
]]>BASSETERRE, St. Kitts, March 29, 2021 (Press Unit in the Office of the Prime Minister) – The Nevis-based Concerned Citizens Movement (CCM), led by Premier the Honourable Mark Brantley, has given a loud and clear signal that it stands firmly with its sister party, the People’s Labour Party (PLP) led by Prime Minister Dr. the Honourable Timothy Harris, and the Team Unity-led coalition.
The strong words of support were given by the President of the CCM Women’s Arm, Ms. Latoya Jones, as she delivered fraternal greetings on behalf of the Concerned Citizens Movement at the PLP’s National Convention held on Saturday, March 27, at the Ottley’s Playing Field.
Ms. Jones said, “The Concerned Citizens Movement under the leadership of Premier Mark A.G. Brantley rallies with you as you continue to excel in your endeavours to put people first. PLP, we are united with you, we have a common goal, we have a common purpose, we have a shared vision and a shared destiny. We do believe as you do that the people of this country should and will always come first.”
Founded in 2013, the People’s Labour Party is the youngest amongst the three political parties that constitute the Team Unity coalition. The other two being the CCM and the People’s Action Movement (PAM).
The CCM representative said, “There was a time in your history when one would have looked at the size of your party and cast their judgement on how great of a party you would one day become. Some doubted your ability to carry this great party to victory. Now, a few years later, look at the People’s Labour Party, you have two formidable elected candidates sitting in the National Assembly.”
“Though your party is young in years, you are advanced in experience and accomplishments and I must say that you have had lots of accomplishments. When we speak of progress, we think of PLP. When we speak of great vision, we think of PLP. When we speak of women empowerment, we think of PLP…and when we think of the advancement of our people, we think of PLP,” Ms. Jones added.
The People’s Labour Party’s 2021 National Convention was held under the theme, “Together: Empowering and Uniting People; Rebuilding our Economy.”
]]>BASSETERRE, ST. KITTS, March 28, 2021 (PLP PR Media Inc.) — The Peoples Labour Party (PLP) which was established in 2013 is still committed to the unity which led to three political parties forming the Team Unity construct that formed government after the February 16, 2015 general elections, says PLP National Political Leader and Prime Minister of the Federation of St. Kitts and Nevis, Dr the Hon Timothy Harris.
“We have heard a lot about our party – where we stand in moments of difficulty and where we stand in good times,” said Dr Harris. “You have heard a lot and you know a lot about our formation in 2013 and how from that difficult past we came forward and energised a nation, energised a country, energised a people and brought victory to the people of St. Kitts and Nevis under a coalition banner.”
Prime Minister Harris made the remarks on Saturday March 27 when he delivered the feature address at the Peoples Labour Party’s Fourth Annual National Convention that was held under a tent on the grounds of Ottley’s playing field in Constituency Number Seven which he represents in the National Assembly.
“We remain committed to unity because working together always the people of St. Kitts and Nevis will achieve more,” observed the Honourable National Political Leader of the Peoples Labour Party, and Prime Minister. “So thank you to our partners.”
The Peoples Labour Party formed a coalition with the People’s Action Movement (PAM) and the Nevis-based Concerned Citizens Movement (CCM), contested the February 2015 general election and won seven seats out of the eleven seats to form government as the Team Unity Administration, with PLP’s National Political Leader Dr the Hon Timothy Harris as the Prime Minister.
Team Unity increased its majority in Parliament after the June 5, 2020 general elections to nine seats. The Peoples Labour Party holds two of the seats, St. Christopher Seven by Prime Minister Harris, and St Christopher Three by PLP’s Deputy Political Leader the Hon Akilah Byron-Nisbett who is the Federal Minister of Health, ICT, Entertainment, Entrepreneurship and Talent Development.
People’s Action Movement’s Assistant General Secretary, Mr Azard Gumbs, brought fraternal greetings on behalf of his party at the National Convention, while Concerned Citizens Movement’s Deputy Chair and President of Women’s Arm, Ms Latoya Jones, brought fraternal greetings on behalf of her party.
“Yes, we are the youngest political party in St. Kitts and Nevis but we are also the fastest growing party,” advised the National Political Leader. “That is because our values are those of the working people. Our values lead us to put a premium on creating more jobs for our young people, building homes for our people, and keeping our streets safe, and what a wonderful job! St. Kitts and Nevis are the safest it has ever been in a very long time.”
In further commenting on the prevailing safety aspect in the country, brought about by the efforts of his Team Unity Administration, Dr Harris thanked the entire team at National Security and singled out for commendation, Commissioner of Police Hilroy Brandy, Lt Col of the Defence Force J. Anthony Comrie, Commissioner of Corrections Terrance James, and Chief Immigration Officer Merclyn Hughes, who he said are in the frontline of the country’s national security apparatus.
“Yes, the PLP is the party of choice for a large number of persons everywhere and we are grateful for the opportunity to serve – serving together as part of a team,” asserted Dr Harris. He noted that each and every day, the PLP is serving with a new ethos of empowering and uniting people to build the St. Kitts and Nevis that all love and all want to see stronger and safer.
Proceedings of the National Convention were chaired by the PLP National Chairman Mr Warren Thompson, and remarks were also made by the Deputy National Political Leader the Hon Akilah Byron-Nisbett, while delivering the keynote address was Trinidad-based Consultant Clinical/Forensic Psychologist, Dr Sharon-Ann Gopaul McNikol.
Present at the National Convention were members of the PLP National Executive who were elected unopposed on Friday March 26 at the Private Session of the 2021 National Convention held at the Royal St. Kitts Hotel’s Conference Room, and who were introduced by the National Political Leader.
“This is the team that we will work with as a party and all others who are interested in building the stronger and safer future which we promised, and which you the people of St. Kitts and Nevis deserve,” said Dr Harris while introducing the National Executive.
]]>BASSETERRE, ST. KITTS, March 24, 2021 (PLP PR Media Inc.) — Under the theme ‘Together: Empowering and Uniting People; Rebuilding our Economy’, the Peoples Labour Party (PLP) will be holding its annual National Convention on Saturday March 27 at the Ottley’s Playing Field in Constituency Number Seven.
According to the party’s National Chairman, Mr Warren Thompson, the meeting featuring the public session of the National Convention will be held from 4:00 pm under strict Covid-19 protocol. The convention’s private session will however be held a day earlier on Friday March 26, at the Royal St. Kitts Hotel Conference Room from 6:00 pm.
The party’s membership, which last year because of the prevailing coronavirus pandemic missed the opportunity to take part in the PLP’s hugely popular conventions which are taken to the people, is looking forward to seeing National Political Leader and Prime Minister Dr the Hon Timothy Harris, and the Deputy National Political Leader and Federal Cabinet Minister the Hon Akilah Byron-Nisbett on stage.
When the party held its inaugural National Convention in 2017, and the follow-up conventions in 2018 and 2019, the Deputy National Political Leader, was a Senator as a nominated member of the National Assembly. She will now be attending the 2021 National Convention of the Peoples Labour Party as a duly elected member of the National Assembly, having been successfully elected to parliament at the June 5, 2020 National Elections.
“Our party convention is this month on the 27th of March, and this will be at Ottley’s Playing Field,” announced PLP National Chairman Mr Warren Thompson when he recently addressed members of PLP Constituency Number One Branch at the New Town Community Centre. “We take our conventions to the people and we were, as a party, the first to do such.”
A member of the ruling tri-party Team Unity coalition, the Peoples Labour Party which was established in 2013 held its first National Convention in 2017 at the Tabernacle Recreation Grounds, and the second and third Annual National Convention in 2018 and 2019 at the Patsy Allers Playing Ground in Constituency Number Three. However, due to the prevailing coronavirus epidemic the party did not hold the National Convention last year.
“For the past conventions we have had over six hundred people, the biggest ever in the Federation of all parties,” observed Mr Thompson. “This time around we have to cut back a bit because of the Covid. So we have to be careful and mindful, and that is why again we are back on the open field in Ottley’s, where people can be around and at the same time social distancing and other Covid-19 protocols can be adhered to.”
Mr Thompson explained that a tent big enough to spaciously hold about 150 persons will be erected, while in observance of the Covid-19 protocols others outside that number will be expected to use the concrete bleachers on the playing field.
Mr Thompson further explained that at a recent PLP National Executive meeting it was decided that the private session would be held a day earlier on Friday March 26, as there would not be enough time to hold the two sessions on Saturday March 27, the day of the National Convention. It will be held at the Royal St. Kitts Hotel Conference Room from 6:00 pm.
“The private session is where party members – the delegates from each constituency will gather and we deal with the party business,” observed Mr Thompson. “We normally have 35 delegates from each constituency. This year we have to cut it back because of the Covid. So we are now down to 12 delegates from each constituency this year.”
]]>BASSETERRE, ST. KITTS, February 27, 2021 (MMS-SKN) — St. Kitts and Nevis, which aims at having 70 percent of its population vaccinated against Covid-19, is on track to achieve the milestone with over 600 persons having been vaccinated since Monday February 22 when the vaccine rollout was launched at the New Town Community Centre in Basseterre.
“For the week so far, over 600 persons have gone to get their vaccination,” revealed Prime Minister Dr the Hon Timothy Harris on Saturday February 27. “Over 600 persons, and ask yourself ‘600 have gone, why not me?’ What are you waiting for? So, I just want to encourage you by and large to be part of the programme and go quickly. The life you will save may very well be your own.”
Prime Minister Harris gave the information at the Ottley’s hardcourts at the end of the popular Prime Minister’s Monthly Health Walk, which had taken participants from Bellevue to Ottley’s in Constituency Number Seven, where a special session was held sensitise walk participants and members of the general public on the importance of being vaccinated.
“I just want to say that the vaccine is good for you, and that is why the entire government ministers have gone to get the vaccine,” assured Dr Harris. “That is why close to 30 medical doctors, some of them you know, have gone to take this vaccine. Do not be the one that is left out, for when you look at some who are going and some who are yet to go, you have to wonder if people are not noticing.”
Also addressing walk participants and telling them about the were Minister of Health the Hon Akilah Byron-Nisbett, Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Health Dr Delores Stapleton-Harris, National HIV/AIDS Programme Coordinator and Health Educator Dr Mathias Afortu-Ofre, medical practitioners Dr Dail Crawford and Dr Leroy Richardson, and District Medical Officer Dr Bernicia Nisbett who is also the Deputy Speaker.
According to Prime Minister Harris, the vaccine is being provided free of cost while it is coming at a very high price. Organisation of the Eastern Caribbean (OECS) countries will on Sunday February 28 receive 125,000 doses of vaccine from India costing EC$700,000 bought through the Eastern Caribbean Central Bank (ECCB). Prime Minister Harris, who is the chairman of the ECCB Monetary Council, had earlier in the week stated that the Federation would receive 41,600 doses of the vaccines, which is in addition to 2,000 doses it had previously received.
“The world is changing rapidly – you now have to carry your negative test to most countries when you are travelling,” reminded the Honourable Prime Minister. “I believe the next step, once you want to travel, you are going to have to show that you have been vaccinated. Do not wait until you find yourself in an emergency to be looking to say you want to get vaccinated.”
Further Prime Minister Harris informed walk participants that a vaccination session was taking place that morning between 9:00 and 11:30 at the New Town Health Centre, where a number of security force officers, from the Prisons, Police, and Fire and Rescue Services were going to get their vaccine. He noted that the government wants the entire country to be vaccinated.
Addressing his constituents, Dr Harris said: “You have in this constituency the opportunity to get vaccinated at the Molineux Health Centre, and you have the opportunity to do so at the Tabernacle Health Centre. At least those are two places, but I am sure if you go to any health centre, you will not be turned back, and we want to increase.”
Inviting persons to join him at the St. Kitts Nevis Anguilla National Bank 50th Anniversary church service to be held at the Rivers of Living Water Christian Centre in Lime Kiln, West Basseterre, on Sunday February 28 at 5:00 pm, Prime Minister Harris ended by saying: “If you can make it, you are invited. Please wear your mask. Until we reach what Dr Crawford called ‘herd immunity’, that is having at least 70 percent of the people in the country vaccinated, you will still need to wear your mask.”
As a further defence, Dr Harris advised persons to continue wearing the masks even when they take vaccines, “because remember, until a certain number has done it, they will put all of us at risk, and that is why you have to be encouraging your friends, your family members so that they will be part of the circle of people you know who are vaccinated. That is why the entire Cabinet has been vaccinated. So when we are sitting down at the table, we know all of us have done what we can to protect ourselves.”
]]>BASSETERRE, ST. KITTS, February 25, 2021 (MMS-SKN) — The highly popular Prime Minister’s Monthly Health Walk will be held on Saturday February 27, taking participants on the regular route from Bellevue to Ottley’s. At the end of the walk there will be a special session where participants and members of the general public will be sensitised on the Covid-19 vaccine rollout.
“This particular health walk is a little special because Prime Minister Dr the Hon Timothy Harris is going to join in the educational drive on the Covid-19 vaccine rollout bringing it to his constituency level, and his constituents, by having some health officials to give information on the vaccination, and the importance of becoming vaccinated,” said Ms Myrtilla Williams, one of Prime Minister’s Monthly Health Walk organisers.
According to information received through the Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Health Dr Delores Stapleton-Harris, who is herself a regular Prime Minister’s Monthly Health Walk participant, National HIV/AIDS Programme Coordinator and Health Educator Dr Mathias Afortu-Ofre will be among the health officials giving out information. He will be joined by medical practitioners, who are regular health walk participants, Dr Dail Crawford, and Dr Leroy Richardson.
“The Prime Minister, in his responsibility to his constituents, nation and also on a regional level as CARICOM’s lead spokesperson for health, is once more giving persons the opportunity to take part in the walk for their own health benefits,” said Ms Williams.
Participants will assemble at the bus stop in Bellevue for the walk that starts at 5:30 am to take them along the Island Main Road to Ottley’s.
“We know that we in St. Kitts and Nevis have been managing the Covid-19 pandemic, and so we are at a stage now where we have a vaccine,” noted Ms Williams.
A national vaccine rollout started on Monday February 22 at the New Town Community Centre where Prime Minister Dr the Hon Timothy Harris was the second person to receive the vaccination, after the Chief of Medical Staff at the JNF General Hospital Dr Cameron Wilkinson.
“We know a lot of people how they are – there is maybe some resistance to taking the vaccine, or there is concern because the internet has a way of giving information some of which is misleading and we do not know which is true or which is not true,” observed Ms Williams. “And so these persons will be there to assist us with answering any question and so on.”
The health walk organiser added: “Directly after the walk, we are inviting persons to come and get informed. It is the health of the individual person, your family, your seniors, your children, and the nation on a whole – you know they say a healthy nation is a wealthy nation.”
The walk is held under the umbrella of SKN Moves, and expected to give support to the health team as it reassures the public on the safety of vaccines being rolled out here in St. Kitts and Nevis will be three regular Prime Minister’s Monthly Health Walk participants, Minister of Health the Hon Akilah Byron-Nisbett, Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Health Dr Delores Stapleton-Harris, and District Medical Officer who is also the Deputy Speaker, Senator the Hon Dr Bernicia Nisbett.
]]>BASSETERRE, ST. KITTS, February 17, 2021 (MMS-SKN) — Prime Minister and Area Parliamentary Representative for St. Christopher Seven, Dr the Hon Timothy Harris, presented to the communities of Lodge-Ottley’s and surrounding areas a $3.2 million multi-purpose community centre at a ceremony held on Tuesday February 16 to commission the facility.
“I feel proud today because my government is delivering the best community centre in the country to you the wonderful people of St. Christopher Seven and Eight,” said Prime Minister Harris as he delivered feature remarks at the ceremony. “I am proud that today we are able to deliver this edifice so soon after my re-election – I am delivering this to you. I am keeping faith with you.”
According to the Honourable Prime Minister, the Team Unity Government was giving the residents of Lodge-Ottley’s and the surrounding communities a new beating heart, which he termed a fresh start at resuscitating the communities. He noted it was a centre to which the residents can come to organise, to plan and deliver programmes to advance and improve themselves and their communities.
“We heard that message coming from PS Janelle Lewis-Tafari,” said Dr Harris in reference to opening remarks delivered by Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Social Development. “PS Janelle Lewis-Tafari said that community centres should be the centrality of the organisation of community life and community activity, and that is so true. That is what we hope that this building will represent.”
He told the gathering that also included the Area Parliamentary Representative for the neighbouring St. Christopher Eight and Minister with responsibility for Social Development, the Hon Eugene Hamilton, that the centre is an example of Team Unity Government’s commitment to inclusiveness. The government, he added, was determined that no one is left behind, and said all people, regardless of circumstances, should be able to actively participate in their local community.
“The old community centre at Lodge Project was not fit for purpose,” observed Dr Harris. “It was not what this community deserved. It was not what our community expected. Some have said repeatedly the old centre showed how the previous government neglected this area. They deliberately refused to renovate the old centre. Today we come and we move beyond that victimisation and neglect of the past to the delivery of this modern first class edifice that will be part of our stronger and safer future.”
The old community centre at Lodge Project was the unofficial home for the longest running domino league in the country, St. Christopher Seven Domino League that is sponsored by Prime Minister Harris, which celebrated its 25th anniversary last year. Games had to be played at different venues as the maximum number of games it could host was four, while the area around the centre had no parking spaces.
Prime Minister Harris said that he had been informed that the new centre could host all the 14 teams in the league and had ample parking space. He requested President and organiser of the league Mr Calvin Farrell, and his deputy Mr Simeon ‘Cuban’ Liburd, who were present and played an exhibition game, to take note. The 26th edition of the league will commence in July this this year.
Added Dr Harris: “Our footballers also have a venue to meet, as do other sporting teams and community groups.”
Present at the opening ceremony which was chaired by Dr Patrick Welcome, also included the Minister of Health et al the Hon Akilah Byron-Nisbett, the Minister of Education the Hon Jonel Powell, Resident Ambassador of the Republic of China on Taiwan His Excellency Tom Lee, Deputy Speaker Senator the Hon Dr Bernicia Nisbett, Ambassador His Excellency Kevin Williams, and Permanent Secretaries Mr Osmond Petty, Mrs Elreter Simpson-Browne, and Mr Ron Collins.
“Importantly, we have remembered the specially-abled in the design of this facility,” said the Honourable Prime Minister. “That is why this new centre includes ramps for specially-abled persons. We want all people to be connected with their community. My Government wants our specially-abled children to enjoy the blessings and gifts of life. We are doing all that we can to incorporate them more fully in our society.”
]]>BASSETERRE, St. Kitts, December 23, 2020 (Press Unit in the Office of the Prime Minister) – The Government of the Republic of China (Taiwan) has again come to the support of the Government and people of St. Kitts and Nevis. On this occasion, Taiwan, through its Embassy here in Basseterre, has provided financial support towards the construction of the Lodge/Ottley’s Community Center.
At a brief handing over ceremony held today (Wednesday, December 23), Resident Ambassador of the Republic of China (Taiwan) to the Federation, His Excellency Tom Lee, said as a longstanding ally, his Government stands ready to assist the Federation in any way possible.
Ambassador Lee stated that there is no doubt that the Lodge/Ottley’s Community Center “is a very important project because it can be used not only as a center for people to get together but also as a hurricane shelter to protect people’s lives and we are very happy to hear that the project is near completion.”
Financial Secretary Mrs. Hilary Hazel used the occasion of the handing over ceremony to express profound gratitude to the Government and people of the Republic of China (Taiwan) for their continued support in the overall development of St. Kitts and Nevis.
She said, “Taiwan has been known to be a true and solid partner, as we have in the past and currently experienced your government’s support for our build out of our social infrastructure – critical infrastructure that is required for us to achieve our goals of improving the lives of all Kittitians and Nevisians and for that we are eternally grateful.”
Meanwhile, Prime Minister Dr. the Honourable Timothy Harris hailed the excellent work of contractor Dwight Berry and his team for their work on the multipurpose center that is now at an advanced stage in its construction.
“I think it’s one of the better executed projects I’ve seen in a long while in Government, in that notwithstanding the COVID-19 challenges, the contractor managed to execute in a way that all of us are satisfied with. There were occasions where I visited and I was in awe of how far they had gotten. So it’s a tribute to local talent because in fact he is a contractor known in the community. Certainly, the manner in which Mr. Dwight Berry has executed this one is a good reflection and he has now made it big in my own books,” said Prime Minister Harris, who is also the Parliamentary Representative for the area.
Director of Public Works, Mr. Cromwell Williams, who was also present at the handing over ceremony, said the contractor is now at the stage of installing the necessary electrical fittings which is expected to be completed within the next week or two. After the electrical work, the contractor will do his final clean up before the keys to the facility are handed over.
