Basseterre, St. Kitts, January 6th, 2020 (ZIZ News)The Pediatric League of St. Kitts And Nevis has shared the news of the passing of 16 year old Shaniece Nanhoe.
In a post on its official Facebook page, referring to Shaniece as being known for her “sweet smile and charm”, PALS reminded that in August of 2019, Shaniece first showed signs of a facial tumor which was diagnosed as RMS, a rare and aggressive type of cancer.
It noted “It has been a long and difficult road for Shaniece and her family but through it all Shaniece maintained her positive attitude and courageous heart.”
PALS registered deepest sympathies to Shaniece’s parents, her two younger sisters, her extended family and those who love her.
Meanwhile the Principal, Staff and Students of the Washington Archibald High School where Shaniece was a student have expressed heartfelt condolences to her family and friends in a post on Facebook.
The school also thanked those who assisted financially with her medical treatment.
Shaniece Nanhoe was in Guyana receiving treatment at the time of her passing.

Basseterre, St. Kitts, August 25, 2020 (ZIZ News):The Paediatric Assistance League (PALS) has issued an urgent appeal for fundraising efforts for 7 month old Lavondre Thompson.
Lavondre has a heart condition that could be life threatening if he does not receive the heart surgery he requires.
According to information issued by PALS, Lavondre continues to lose weight as a result of his heart condition and currently weighs 11.9 pounds. Other symptoms include occasional respiratory issues and difficulty eating.
Lavondre has been accepted for surgery at Health City Cayman Islands who has discounted the cost of his surgery to approximately $15, 000 US plus additional medical and travel expenses.
