BASSETERRE, ST. KITTS, November 23, 2020 (MMS-SKN) — Prime Minister and Area Parliamentary Representative for Constituency Number Seven, Dr the Hon Timothy Harris, has commended domino enthusiasts in his constituency who had twenty five years ago approached him to assist them to hold a domino tournament with the expressed wish to bring communities together.
“When in 1996, or thereabout, a group of persons came to ask me to intervene, at the heart of their concern, one was love for domino and they felt that domino could be that sport that breaks down the tension among the various communities,” recalled Prime Minister Harris on Sunday November 22 at the closing and prize giving ceremony for 25th edition of Constituency Number Seven Domino League which is the sponsor.
The Honourable Prime Minister went on: “Way back then the rivalry in between the village groups was very high, and there was development of violence in between groups. We can say that twenty five years after, this league has fulfilled the mission of building strong friendship across every community between Ottleys down to Parsons Ground,”
The ceremony which was held on the hardcourts at the Edgar Gilbert Sporting Complex in Molineux saw the distribution of over $15,000 in trophies and cash prizes to players of the record fourteen teams drawn from Constituencies Number Seven (twelve teams), and Number Six (two teams) at the end of what league officials commented was the best ever.
“I want to thank those who over the last twenty five years-plus have been part of domino in Constituency Seven,” said Prime Minister Harris. “Today we can say without a doubt we are the best and we are the longest going domino league in St. Kitts and Nevis, and perhaps anywhere else in the world.”
He thanked Mr Osmond Petty and Mr Winston Morris who were former organisers of the league, and Mr Calvin Farrell who is the current President of Constituency Number Seven Domino League, and League Coordinator, for the selfless work they would have put in to make the league the success it is today.
Domino clubs from Constituency Number Seven had for a long period dominated the league until that monopoly was broken in 2018 when Parsons Domino Club from Constituency Number Six became the first team from outside Number Seven to be crowned champions. They defended the title in 2019 but this year the title returned to Constituency Number Seven with Tabernacle Domino Club taking the top honours for the first time.
“For me on the occasion of the 25th anniversary to have had Tabernacle done so superlatively well, I feel very proud to be from Tabernacle and I want to thank them and congratulate them,” said Dr Harris. “Twenty five years we have waited for this in Tabernacle. Twenty five years we came close and there are times when we were too distant from it. But again, young men like (Kerone) Roache stepped up, and all the other young people with (Captain) Jason ‘Spoon’ Nisbett, who came and gave Tabernacle the unbelieving power so that tonight the victory is Tabernacle’s and they will be taking home $5,000.”
He thanked all the fourteen teams and their players who took part in this year’s tournament, and promised them that with the completion of the new Lodge/Ottleys Community Centre now under construction, the tournament next year would be held in better facilities and hoped that more teams would take part.
Due to Covid-19 protocols in place, this year’s league was restricted to three venues, namely the Lodge Community Centre in Lodge Project which has over the years been the home to Constituency Number Seven Domino League, the pavilion at the Edgar Gilbert Sporting Complex, and the Tabernacle Police Station.
Coming in second position were former champions Unity Domino Club, followed by Lodge Domino Club, also former champions, and Phillips Domino Club in the fourth place. Small Corner Bar Domino Club took, for the second year in a row, Best of the Rest Championship.
The other teams in the competition were Sylvers Domino Club, Unstoppable Domino Club, Parsons Domino Club, Molineux Domino Club, Christ Church Domino Club, Saddlers Domino Club, Mansion Domino Club, Guinness Domino Club, and Giants Domino Club.
]]>BASSETERRE, ST. KITTS, November 19, 2020 (MMS-SKN) — A grand prize giving ceremony to be held on Sunday November 22 at the Edgar Gilbert sporting Complex pavilion in Molineux brings down the curtain on the 25th edition of the country’s longest running domino league, Constituency Number Seven Dr the Hon Timothy Harris Domino League.
“League sponsor, Prime Minister and Area Parliamentary Representative for Constituency Number Seven, Dr the Hon Timothy Harris, will preside over this year’s prize giving ceremony which will be held on Sunday November 22,” announced President of the league’s Executive Committee, and League Coordinator, Mr Calvin Farrell.
He added: “We will have a packed and entertaining afternoon which will start with an exhibition domino game between two female teams. One is a team from Newton Ground, and the other will be made up of female players from the various clubs in the Constituency Number Seven Domino League. The winner will get four cases of drinks. After that game we will have a three-hand competition involving all the teams in the league.”
The ceremony which takes place from 1:00 pm will see the new champions, Tabernacle Domino Club, walk away with the championship trophy and a cash prize of $5,000. In a hard fought competition, Tabernacle who had returned to the league after a two-year hiatus overcame the other thirteen teams in the competition to earn the title for the first time.
At the end of the round robin stage, which due to Covid-19 protocols that were in place saw all games played at three venues, Phillips Domino Club finished at the top. However in the last four play-offs they found themselves in the fourth position.
Immediate past champions, Parsons Domino Club, did not feature in the last four and neither did they qualify to play in the Best of the Rest competition on grounds of having forfeited one of their games.
“The second placed team in this year’s competition, Unity Domino Club, will receive a cash prize of $3,500 for their gallant effort,” said Mr Farrell. “Lodge Domino Club will receive $2,500 for the third place, while for the fourth position Phillips Domino Club will receive $2,000.”
Other cash prizes, according to Mr Farrell, will be awarded to the three top winners in the Best of the Rest competition, to include $800 for this year’s champions, Small Corner Bar Domino Club; runners’ up Sylvers Domino Club will receive $600; and third placed Unstoppable Domino Club will receive $400. Phillips Domino Club will receive an additional $400 for having led at the end of the round robin stage.
“There will be other consolation prizes, some to be given out by friends of Constituency Number Seven Dr the Hon Timothy Harris Domino League, which will be made known at the prize giving ceremony on Sunday,” said Mr Farrell. “All other teams will receive two cases of drinks of their choice.”
Fourteen teams took part in this year’s Constituency Number Seven Domino League. They were Tabernacle Domino Club, Unity Domino Club, Lodge Domino Club, Phillips Domino Club, Small Corner Bar Domino Club, Parsons Domino Club, Molineux Domino Club, Christ Church Domino Club, Saddlers Domino Club, Mansion Domino Club, Sylvers Domino Club, Unstoppable Domino Club, Guinness Domino Club, and Giants Domino Club.
“Looking at the last twenty four years, this twenty-fifth year I think has been the best year I have seen for such a long time, and I wonder if it is because of the Covid why the teams them stepped up with their masks and their uniforms and really put all out to be where they are now,” remarked President of the league’s Executive Committee, and League Coordinator, Calvin Farrell.
]]>BASSETERRE, ST. KITTS, October 21, 2020 (MMS-SKN) — Small Corner Bar Domino Club have for the second time in a row claimed the Best of the Rest competition championship title in the annual Constituency Number Seven Dr the Hon Timothy Harris Domino League.
In a game played at the Lodge Community Centre in Lodge Project on Monday October 19, Small Corner Bar took the championship not on a silver platter as Sylvers Domino Club, the only of the fourteen teams that took part in the 25th edition of the league that featured three female players, fought hard despite being beaten 13-9.
Last year Small Corner Bar had beaten former champions Unity Domino Club to win the Best of the Rest competition championship.
At the quarter-finals stage where six teams took part, one was bound to sail into the finals and Sylvers received the bye to the finals being the team with the best results, while Small Corner Bar and Unstoppable Domino Club were left to fight it out at the semi-final stage. Results of their first encounter were nullified but Unstoppable did not honour the replay, which gave Small Corner Bar the other finals slot to meet Sylvers.
The game on Monday opened with Captain Octavia ‘Tackie’ and Paul ‘Punch’ Bridgewater for Sylvers and Austin Williams and Winston Morris for Small Corner Bar on table one. Robert Charles and Valencia Alexander for Sylvers and Captain Norris ‘Chuck’ Sharry and Robert Tyson for Small Corner Bar were on table two.
Sylvers opened the scoring from table two and Small Corner earned the other game from table one. Small Corner Bar sent the game to break in a grand fashion when from table two they attained 120 points to nothing by Sylvers to give them the 8-3 games lead.
After the break, Sylvers’ sensational pair of siblings, sister and brother, 18-year old Amara Huggins and 21-year old Ameer Ali, whose mother is Captain Octavia ‘Tackie’ Huggins took command of table one where they faced veteran players, Austin Williams and Winston Morris of Small Corner.
The siblings won four straight games, one of them via a bonus after they would have raced to 130 points before Small Corner Bar players could win a single point, and with that reduced their team’s deficit to 7-8. After that Sylvers won only two other games, as Small Corner Bar raced to the final 13-9 score to take the 2020 Best of the Rest competition championship.
Refereeing was done by Calvin Farrell, while scoring was alternatively done by Amara Huggins and her brother Ameer Ali when they were not on the tables playing, but while playing the scoring was done by Ken Palmer.
Constituency Number Seven Dr the Hon Timothy Harris Domino League which is the longest running such league in the Federation, is sponsored by Prime Minister of St. Kitts and Nevis, and Area Parliamentary Representative for St. Christopher Seven, Dr the Hon Timothy Harris.
Domino action continues tonight Wednesday October 21 at 7:00 pm at the Lodge Community Centre in Lodge Project when the classic Champion of Champions encounter will be held where overall champions Tabernacle Domino Club will come up against Best of the Rest competition champions Small Corner Bar Domino Club.
]]>BASSETERRE, ST. KITTS, October 19, 2020 (MMS-SKN) — Tabernacle Domino Club are the 2020 Constituency Number Seven Dr the Hon Timothy Harris Domino League champions after beating former champions Unity Domino Club 13-7 in the second of best of three final encounters on Sunday October 18.
The first time winners of the coveted trophy, Tabernacle Domino Club could not have done it in a better fashion than to clinically dismantle the former champions as their fellow villager Prime Minister of St. Kitts and Nevis, Dr the Hon Timothy Harris, watched the entertaining game that was played at the Lodge Community Centre in Lodge Project.
Dr Harris, who is also the Area Parliamentary Representative for Constituency Number Seven, is the sponsor of Constituency Number Seven League, the longest running domino league in the country which is into its 25th year.
When the two teams met in the first of the best of three final game encounters on Thursday October 15, Tabernacle under the captainship of Jason ‘Spoon’ Nisbett beat Unity 13-9. When they took to the tables on Sunday, all Tabernacle Domino Club needed was a simple win to be crowned champions of the 25th edition of Constituency Number Seven Dr the Hon Timothy Harris Domino League, which they did and even improved on their scores.
The game which was refereed by David Brandy and Octavia ‘Tackie’ Huggins on table one, and Joy Rogers and Calvin Farrell on table two, started at 4:22 pm with Sean Maryat and Kerone Roache for Tabernacle and Everton Boon and Antonio ‘Marsh’ Phillip for Unity on table one. On table two were Captain Jason ‘Spoon’ Nisbett and Ryan St. Marie for Tabernacle and Captain Desmond ‘Fergie’ Rawlins and Davin Henry for Unity. Hope Bradley was the scorer.
Unity returned the first winner points three times on each table, but Tabernacle drew the first blood with a 111-59 points win on table two, which was quickly followed by a 125-90 points win from table one. However, before they could celebrate the 2-0 games lead, Unity raced to 123 points against none by Tabernacle on table two for a bonus game to tie the score at 2-2.
Unity surged ahead 3-2 with another quick 104-68 points win from table two which saw Tabernacle’s Captain ‘Spoon’ Nisbett replaced on that table by Shaquille Sewell. As that was happening, Unity scored another game from table one. But back on table two, the coming in of Shaquille Sewell paid dividends for Tabernacle as they won the game by 104-80 points.
The two teams tied at 6-6 games, and from table one where Tabernacle’s Captain ‘Spoon’ Nisbett had relocated and playing alongside Kerone Roache, they attained 121 points before Unity could get a single point to earn them a bonus game which saw them lead 8-6. Not wanting to let their fellow villager and sponsor Prime Minister Dr the Hon Timothy Harris down, Tabernacle went on an offensive and won another three straight games to lead 11-6.
Tabernacle were on course to win their 12th game from table one as they led 72-0 points, but they lost focus and Unity came from behind to take that game at 133-72 points for their seventh game.
However what transpired on table two left everyone in the community centre thoroughly entertained, as Shaquille Sewell and Ryan St. Marie amassed points unchallenged and accompanied with much fanfare, and at exactly 7:30 pm they attained 100 points to nothing by Unity players, which gave them a bonus game, sending their scores to 13-7, and the 2020 championship came with the win.
Domino action continues tonight (Monday October 19) with the second of two final encounters for the Best of the Rest tournament championship at 7:00 pm at the same venue between Small Corner Bar Domino Club, who have the advantage having won in their first encounter, and Sylvers Domino Club. If Small Corner Bar win, they will be crowned the new Best of the Rest Tournament champions but should Sylvers win, it will trigger a tiebreaker ‘super 100’ game to be played immediately.
]]>BASSETERRE, ST. KITTS, October 14, 2020 (MMS-SKN) — Former champions Lodge Domino Club on Tuesday October 13 settled for the third overall position after a bruising one-off encounter of the two losing semi-finalists in the 25th edition of Constituency Number Seven Dr the Hon Timothy Harris Domino League, by beating Phillips Domino Club 13-11.
The two teams did not have the full complement of players, as Lodge had only four, while Phillips had five. The game, which was played at the Lodge Community Centre, was refereed by Octavia ‘Tackie’ Huggins and Valencia Alexander who were assisted by Norris ‘Chuck’ Sharry, while Ameer Ali was the scorer.
Phillips drew the first blood when Tyke ‘Barbie’ Isaac and Sheldon ‘Blamzim’ Augustus took the first game from table one by scoring 118 points again 10 points by Lodge. Lodge quickly hit back from table two by winning the second game after Captain O’Niel Thomas and Javed Thomas scored 112 against Phillips’ 95 points.
Lodge took on the offensive and were leading 7-4 as they prepared to go for the half time break and decided to do so in style when from table one McAllister Thomas and Horatio Thomas hit 104 points before Phillips could get a single point which gave them a bonus game and hence they led 9-4 by half time break.
On return from break, Phillips came back breathing fire by winning six straight games, two of them being bonus games to temporarily overtake Lodge and were leading 10-9. Lodge hit back and equalised by winning a game from table two, but Phillips went one up from table one to make it 11-10 in their favour.
At that stage Lodge upped their game, and won the remaining games and by 10:46 pm they clinched the decider from table two when O’Niel Thomas and Javed Thomas attained 118 points as Phillips were at 71 points, giving former champions Lodge Domino Club the 13-11 win and the overall third position came with it
Constituency Number Seven Dr the Hon Timothy Harris Domino League which is the longest running such league in the Federation, is sponsored by Prime Minister of St. Kitts and Nevis, and Area Parliamentary Representative for St. Christopher Seven, Dr the Hon Timothy Harris.
Domino action continues tonight Wednesday October 14 at the Lodge Community Centre in Lodge Project with the final of Best of the Rest tournament between Sylvers Domino Club who received bye into the finals, and Small Corner Bar Domino Club who sailed into the finals after Unstoppable Domino Club failed to honour a replay of their nullified semi-final game on Monday October 12.
The finals of the 25th edition of Constituency Number Seven Dr the Hon Timothy Harris Domino League, between former champions Unity Domino Club and Tabernacle Domino Club in a clash of best of three encounters, will be held tomorrow Thursday October 15 at the Lodge Community Centre starting at 7:00 pm.

BASSETERRE, ST. KITTS, October 9, 2020 (MMS-SKN) — Going by semi-final results returned Thursday evening October 8, domino enthusiasts will have to wait slightly longer before they get to know who will be crowned champions of the 25th edition of Constituency Number Seven Dr the Hon Timothy Harris Domino League.
Former champions Unity Domino Club and this year’s points standing preliminary stage leaders Phillips Domino Club showed their opponents that they still have what it takes to win the coveted championship title of the longest running domino league in the country.
The league is sponsored by Prime Minister of St. Kitts and Nevis, and Area Parliamentary Representative for Constituency Number Seven, Dr the Hon Timothy Harris.
Unity who lost to their arch-rival and former champions Lodge Domino Club in the first of a best of three semi-final encounter, turned the tables on Lodge in one of the most competitive and entertaining domino encounters witnessed recently. They beat Lodge 13-12 in their second semi-final encounter held at the Lodge Community Centre where among those watching the classic clash was sponsor of the league, Prime Minister Harris.
Across in Molineux at the pavilion in the Edgar Gilbert Sporting Complex, playing without their captain Allington ‘Leggy’ Berridge in the first half of the game, Phillips Domino Club who had lost to Tabernacle Domino Club in their first semi-final encounter led from the onset and overpowered their opponents 14-11.
It was not exactly the best time for a team to lose. Tabernacle could not believe that watched by their fellow villager and sponsor of the league, Prime Minister of the Federation of St. Kitts and Nevis Dr the Hon Timothy Harris, could lose to a team that they had beaten in the first of the semi-final encounters.
The wins by Unity and Phillips have triggered a third and final game in the best of three semi-final encounters. According to President of Constituency Number Seven Dr the Hon Timothy Harris Domino League Executive Committee and League Coordinator, Calvin Farrell, the deciding semi-final encounters will be held on Sunday October 11 at the two venues starting at 4:00 pm.
In the meantime, no date has been set to accommodate the replay of the semi-final game in the Best of the Rest competition between Unstoppable Domino Club and Small Corner Bar Domino Club which was held on Wednesday October 7 at the Edgar Gilbert Sporting Complex pavilion in Molineux and whose results were nullified.

BASSETERRE, ST. KITTS, October 7, 2020 (MMS-SKN) — The battle for supremacy in the 25th edition of Constituency Number Seven Dr the Hon Timothy Harris Domino League begun in earnest Tuesday evening October 6 when the top four teams met for their first encounters in a best of three semi-finals.
Two former champions, Lodge Domino Club and Unity Domino Club, in their pursuit to reclaim the coveted title now that defending champions Parsons Domino Club are out of the equation, met at the Lodge Community Centre in Lodge Project where in a hotly contested encounter Lodge won 14-10.
Lodge had won their in the first round encounter this year when they beat Unity 13-9, but in the second round Unity avenged by winning narrowly – 13-12. The two teams will meet tomorrow Thursday October 8 for the second semi-final encounter and should Lodge win, they will book a place in the finals. However, a win by Unity will trigger off the third game.
The battle between two teams which made a comeback to the league after a one-year hiatus, Phillips Domino Club and Tabernacle Domino Club, took a dramatic turn Tuesday evening when Tabernacle turned the tables on their contemporaries Phillips and beat them 13-11 in the game played at the Edgar Gilbert Sporting Complex pavilion in Molineux.
During the preliminaries, Phillips who emerged at the top of points table had an upper hand over Tabernacle who they had easily beaten 13-8 in the first round and 13-7 in second round. Should Tabernacle continue with their newly found vigour tomorrow Thursday when they meet for the second semi-final encounter, they will book a place in the finals.
Constituency Number Seven Dr the Hon Timothy Harris Domino League, which is the longest running such league in the Federation, is sponsored by Prime Minister of St. Kitts and Nevis and Area Parliamentary Representative for St. Christopher Seven, Dr the Hon Timothy Harris.
In the meantime confusion surrounds results of the three semi-final games played on Monday October 5 in the Best of the Rest competition. Sylvers Domino Club had beaten Christ Church Domino Club 14-10 at the Lodge Community Centre, while Small Corner Bar Domino Club had beaten Mansion Domino Club 13-10 at the same venue, and Unstoppable Domino Club had beaten Molineux Domino Club 13-10 at the Edgar Gilbert Sporting Complex.
With six teams competing in three semi-final games, rules governing Constituency Number Seven Dr the Hon Timothy Harris Domino League clearly state that of the three winning teams, the one with the best results gets a bye into the finals while the other two battle it out for the other slot in the finals.
The fact that Sylvers had a winning score of 14 games, as opposed to Small Corner Bar and Unstoppable who each had scored 13 games, League Coordinator Calvin Farrell had initially declared that Sylvers had received the bye to go into the finals.
Sylvers earned a bonus after they would have been leading 12-10 and only needed one game to win, but playing from table two Captain Octavia ‘Tackie’ Huggins and player Valencia Alexander raced to 100 points before Christ Church could earn a single point, which as a result won them a bonus game and the coveted 14-10 win.
League Coordinator Calvin Farrell, who is also the President of Constituency Number Seven Domino League Executive Committee, has however reported that one of the captains whose team won by a 13 games margin has disputed that Sylvers with their 14 games win had the superior result and called for a vote to determine the team that gets a bye. Though unconstitutional, as far as rules governing the tournament are concerned, majority of committee members have voted Sylvers on the league’s WhatsApp chat.
]]>BASSETERRE, ST. KITTS, October 2, 2020 (MMS-SKN) — Preliminary fixtures in the 25th edition of Constituency Number Seven Dr the Hon Timothy Harris Domino League came to a dramatic end on Thursday 1st October with defending champions Parsons Domino Club forfeiting their last game, and former champions Lodge Domino Club annihilating Sylvers Domino Club.
Constituency Number Seven Dr the Hon Timothy Harris Domino League, which is the longest running such league in the Federation, is sponsored by Prime Minister of St. Kitts and Nevis, and Area Parliamentary Representative for St. Christopher Seven, Dr the Hon Timothy Harris.
Defending champions Parsons Domino Club, who are effectively out of the title race, did not show up for their encounter with Mansion Domino Club in their rescheduled game due to have been played on the grounds of the Tabernacle Police Station. It earned Mansion a 13-0 win.
It took less than two hours of play for former champions Lodge Domino Club to dispatch Sylvers Domino Club 13-1 in their game played at the Lodge Community Centre in Lodge Project, and at the same venue Giants Domino Club beat Saddlers Domino Club 13-9.
Phillips Domino Club finished at the top after narrowly beating Unstoppable Domino Club 13-12 in their encounter at the Edgar Gilbert Sporting Complex pavilion in Molineux. Losing a point to Unstoppable did not bring much discomfort on Phillips’ side, as even with a loss they still would have finished at the top.
The last of the rescheduled games, after a power outage would have forced the cancellation of five games on Thursday September 17, saw Christ Church Domino Club beat Small Corner Bar Domino Club 13-9 in a game played at the Edgar Gilbert Sporting Complex pavilion in Molineux.
With results in for those final preliminary fixtures in the 25th edition of Constituency Number Seven Dr the Hon Timothy Harris Domino League, the four teams that will move into the semi-finals are Phillips with 117 points, Unity with 111 points, and a tie between Lodge and Tabernacle who have 109 points each. However, Lodge takes the third position on account of having won more games with six points than Tabernacle.
The other teams who will now take part in the Best of the Rest knockout competition are Christ Church, 94 points; Unstoppable, 89 points; Mansion, 88 points; Parsons, 86 points; Saddlers, 70 points; Small Corner Bar, 62 points; Molineux, 48 points; Sylvers, 43 points; Giants, 40 points; and Guinness, 26 points.

The games will be played at the Lodge Community Centre in Lodge Project and the Edgar Gilbert Sporting Complex pavilion in Molineux starting at 7:00 pm on each of the days

Small Corner Bar Domino Club who had in the first round ended Phillips Domino Club’s unbeaten run, proved the feat was not a fluke when playing at the Edgar Gilbert Sporting Complex on Sunday they floored them again by beating them 14-10.
It was a totally different situation for Unstoppable Domino Club who had suffered defeat at the hands of former champions Unity Domino Club in the first round, as they narrowly edged out the former champions 13-12 in a game played at Cuban Bar in Lodge Project.
Defending champions Parsons Domino Club collected maximum points by beating Sylvers Domino Club 13-9 in a game played on the grounds of the Tabernacle Police Station; while in the second game played at the same venue Christchurch Domino Club also collected maximum points by beating Saddlers Domino Club 13-6.

]]>BASSETERRE, ST. KITTS, August 31, 2020 (MMS-SKN) — Second round of the 25th edition of Constituency Number Seven Dr the Hon Timothy Harris Domino League starts on Tuesday September 1, at the three venues that ware used in the first round.
Schedule of play for the second round was released at a meeting held on Sunday August 30 at the Lodge Community Centre in Lodge Project between the Executive Committee of Constituency Number Seven Domino League, and team captains.
“New uniforms were also distributed to the teams during the meeting, and all players will be expected to be properly attired when taking part in all the games of the competition,” said President of the Executive Committee, Calvin Farrell.
The President added: “As we are still in the new normal occasioned by the coronavirus pandemic, the uniforms have come with face masks branded with the names of the individual teams, and these must be worn by the players at any time a team is playing unless a player has medical reasons that would render the use of the mask uncomfortable.”
The meeting was opened after a prayer that was offered by Pastor Abraham Davis of the Church of Christ in Molineux, who is a player on the Mansion Domino Club.
Fourteen teams are taking part in this year’s domino competition, which is the longest running such league in the Federation, that is sponsored by Prime Minister and Area Parliamentary Representative for St. Christopher Seven, Dr the Hon Timothy Harris.
According to President Farrell, who was supported by Secretary Octavia Huggins and Vice President Simeon ‘Cuban’ Liburd at the meeting, it was noted that the first round ended with very few hiccups and one area they discussed were the rules governing the league, and all teams agreed that the same rules would apply without change.
In view of the curfew which was in effect when the league started, which forced all games to start at 7:00 pm on Tuesdays and Thursdays, and at 4:00 on Sundays without room for grace period, a captain suggested that a grace period of 15 minutes should be included now that the curfew has been lifted. It was however agreed by all present that there will still be no grace period.
When the second round opens on Tuesday September 1 at 7:00 pm, leader at the end of round one Phillips Domino Club will face Christchurch Domino Club at a game that will be held at the Tabernacle Police Station. The second game at the same venue will feature the two teams from Constituency Number Six, defending champions Parsons Domino Club and Saddlers Domino Club, coming up against each other.
