Kore Entertainment’s Director of Marketing and Promotion, Cory Tyson, explained the need for a boat ride during this year’s festival.
“Culturama Boatride was a mainstay back in the day and over the years, we’ve been hearing the cry for such an event to return so Kore Entertainment took the opportunity to deliver to the people a quality boat ride that they would enjoy and speak about for years to come. We figured Culturama 40 is a great opportunity…so we are going to use that as a springboard to try to make it an annual event,” he said.
Tyson told ZIZ News that his team has secured the services of top entertainment acts in the Federation. He therefore called on cultural revellers to participate in the boat ride.
Also scheduled for 1pm on August 4th on the Culturama line-up is the Herbert’s Beach Affair. When asked if he was worried about persons supporting that event as opposed to the boatride, Tyson said, “We are very, very confident. We have a few things to our advantage. We have quality entertainment. Other than the Kore, you cannot get any better than Sugar Band so we are confident that we can draw the ‘Sugarheads’ to the boat. In addition to that, we are based and going to be starting right in Charlestown so you don’t have to worry about getting into a vehicle and heading on over to Herbert’s Beach. All you do is walk, stagger, run, jam on down to the pier onboard and continue your partying there.”
