ZIZ News…May 7th, 2013 — One person is in police custody in connection with a fatal traffic accident early Saturday morning.
Officers of the Dieppe Bay Police Station responded to a report of a traffic accident along the Island’s Main Road at Lavington at about 12:40 am on Saturday 4th May 2013.

Initial investigation revealed that a motor vehicle struck a pedestrian, 36-year-old Alexis Daniel alias “Jeo” of Saddlers Village. Reports say he died on the spot and the driver fled the scene.
No one has been charged as yet but police are questioning one individual.
In other police news, Willis Phillip of Lower Saddlers Project was formally charged for Larceny which was committed on the 3rd May 2013.
Neil Norford of Belle Vue was also charged for Larceny which was committed on the 3rd May 2013.
Valentine Graham of Herbert Alley, Newtown was formally charged for House Breaking and Larceny which was committed on 22nd April 2013.
