Roseau, Dominica – Jamaica and Guyana will meet in the final of the Regional Women’s Super50 final today after defeating Trinidad and Tobago and Barbados respectively in the first and second semi-finals today of the tournament.
In the first Playoff match between Grenada and St Lucia, no play was possible at Grandbay Playing Field because of a soggy outfield. Grenada therefore goes through via more wins in the group stages. In the second Playoff match between St Vincent and the Grenadines and Dominica, the Vincentians won by 72 runs.
1ST SEMI-FINAL AT WINDSOR PARK TRINIDAD & TOBAGO v JAMAICA: An unbeaten century from Jamaica captain, Stefanie Taylor along with a 162-run partnership with Chinelle Henry assured Jamaica will defend their Women’s Regional Super50 crown against Guyana in the final.
Taylor scored her century from just 57 balls to help propel Jamaica to 214/2 from a reduced 31 overs on a rain-hit day at Windsor Park. Chinelle Henry was equally aggressive at the other end, stroking 55 runs from 52 balls.
T&T started the chase shaky being reduced to 18/2. However, Britney Cooper once again stood up for her side, stroking 57 runs from 64 balls. Her knock included seven fours and two sixes. T&T were eventually dismissed for 148 all out. Natasha Mclean and Vanessa Watts took three wickets each.

2ND SEMI-FINAL AT BOTANICAL GARDENS GUYANA v BARBADOS: Barbados caved in under pressure in their second semi-final match against Guyana today. The Bajans were skittled out for just 88 runs in 25.4 overs. Kyshona Knight top scored with 18. Tremayne Smart and Phaffiana Millington both took two wickets each.
Guyana also struggled in their pursuit losing wickets constantly. A resistant 32 from Shemaine Campbell helped propped up the Guyanese batting, eventually leading to Guyana overhauling Barbados’ total.
Hayley Thomas took 3-16 to help Barbados give Guyana a scare, but the Guyanese eventually won by three wickets.

1ST PLAYOFF AT GRANDBAY PLAYING FIELD GRENADA v ST LUCIA: Wet conditions caused by rain forced the abandonment of the playoff match without a ball bowled between Grenada and St. Lucia in the Regional Women’s Super50 Tournament yesterday at the Grandbay Playing Field in Dominica.
2ND PLAYOFF AT BENJAMIN PARK ST VINCENT & THE GRENADINES v DOMINICA: A half-century from Samantha Lynch helped St Vincent and the Grenadines overcome Dominica in the 2nd Playoff match of the Regional Women’s Super50 today.
Lynch’s half-century propelled St Vincent and the Grenadines to 156/9 from their 50 overs. Captain Juliana Nero also chipped in with a solid 38. Joslyn Ferroll was Dominica’s best bowler taking 3-34.
Dominica’s batting woes would then cost them as it has continuously in the tournament. They were bowled out for just 84 runs in 42.4 overs. Pearl Etienne top scored with 15 while Stacy Adrien made 13. Latoya Providence picked up 3-12.
