BASSETERRE — Four primary schools have secured spots in the semi-finals of the 2026 St. Kitts Primary Schools Netball Competition following a thrilling quarter-finals round on Tuesday. Dr. William Connor Primary School emerged as the dominant force, crushing Cayon Primary School 19–15, while Newton Ground Primary School, St. Paul’s Primary School and Deane Glasford Primary School rounded out the advancing quartet.
The quarter-finals delivered decisive victories and outstanding individual performances that have set the stage for two compelling semi-final matchups on Tuesday, June 30.
Dr. William Connor Primary claimed the largest margin of victory of the day, displaying superior offensive execution and defensive discipline in their victory over Cayon. Newton Ground Primary advanced with a 7–4 win over Beach Allen Primary School in what proved to be the tournament’s closest contest. St. Paul’s Primary School controlled their matchup, defeating Sandy Point Primary School 11–4, while Deane Glasford Primary School established dominance early, eliminating Halliday Smith Primary School 15–5.
Individual excellence defined the quarter-finals competition, with standout players recognized for their contributions across all eight teams. Amanda Baez Perez of Beach Allen Primary School, Jacenia Powell of Newton Ground Primary School, Thizenya Leader of St. Paul’s Primary School, Serenity Rogers of Sandy Point Primary School, Faith Wattley of Dr. William Connor Primary School, Eltisha Gibson of Cayon Primary School, Glendy Warner of Halliday Smith Primary School and Cavanique Bass of Deane Glasford Primary School earned recognition as the quarter-finals’ outstanding performers.
The competition moves to its crucial next stage with semi-finals set for June 30. Newton Ground Primary School will face Dr. William Connor Primary School in the first semi-final, while St. Paul’s Primary School will challenge Deane Glasford Primary School in the second. The winners of those matchups will advance to the championship final.
