Manufacturer’s Awareness Week 2019 Kicks Off This Week

Basseterre, St. Kitts, September 28, 2019 (ZIZ News): The Manufacturer’s Division of the St. Kitts and Nevis Chamber will be celebrating Manufacturer’s Awareness Week 2019 next week.

Several activities will be held to observe Manufacturer’s Awareness Week beginning on Sunday September 29 2019.

While speaking with ZIZ, Assistant Chair of the Manufacturer’s Awareness Week, Kevin Taylor explained that the week of activities are being held to promote the Manufacturing sector on the island and giving the public the opportunity a reminder of the sector’s positive contribution to society and the economy.

He said the Manufacturing sector helps to provide jobs for families and contributes significantly to the country’s Gross Domestic Product (GDP).

The Manufacturer’s Awareness Week will see activities such as a Church Service at the People’s Evangelical Centre on Sunday, an Opening Ceremony to launch the week on Monday, a Career Day on Tuesday, a Panel Discussion on the radio and TV program “Working For You” on Wednesday, a Manufacturer’s Awards Luncheon on Thursday, an Exhibition and Motorcade on Friday.

Chair of the Manufacturer’s Awareness Week committee and Quality Assurance Manager at Carib Brewery St. Kitts Ltd, Desroy Tate said one of the major highlights for the week is the Exhibition on Bank Street that will showcase all the manufacturing plants on the island.

The Manufacturer’s Awareness week of activities will be held under the theme, “Manufacturing- Connecting the World”.
