Police Force Working to Curb Crime in Nevis

ZIZ News — As of late, there has been a spike in the number of robberies taking place on the island of Nevis.

The police force is well aware of these occurrences and, as Public Relations Officer of the Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force Inspector Lyndon David says, the force is very concerned and is putting measures in place.

In an Interview with ZIZ News, Inspector David took the opportunity to encourage business persons to set up their own means of surveillance as well, to aid in their protection.

He said, “We would like business persons as well to put necessary security measures in place; some may put cameras, some may want to ensure that they have motion detector lights and also just to be on the lookout. Anybody comes in looking suspicious, call the police.”

Inspector David also advises that persons with pertinent information relating to any crime should call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-8477.
