West Indies faces the Stark Reality

Sports Page — Mitchell Starc bowled a telling spell of fast bowling that totally upstaged the hapless West Indies batsmen on day four of the second and final test match played in Jamaica.

The only semblance of resistance, came from Captain Denesh Ramdin who was eventually caught for 29 and Veersammy Permaul, who on a determined 23 not out, at the close.

West Indies started the day on 16 for 2 and soon limped to 33 for 5 and the procession of batsmen continued, except for the minor resistance and the end came in dramatic fashion, with Jerome Taylor, bowled neck and crop, swinging wildly at Nathan Lyon.
