Woman charged for Drug Possession

(ZIZ News) — The police have charged a Kittitian woman for drug possession after she was stopped at the airport on the weekend by Customs Officers.

According to reports, the incident occurred on Saturday at the Robert L. Bradshaw International Airport, where members of the Customs and Excise Department noticed the woman acting suspiciously.

Police Public Relations Officer, Inspector Lyndon David told ZIZ News that after keen observation by Customs Officers, the woman was detained and searched by the police.

An unspecified quantity of cocaine was found in her possession. She was later arrested and charged for possessing the drug.
