Basseterre, St. Kitts, January 13, 2020 (ZIZ News): On Friday former Premier of Nevis, The Hon Vance Amory joined St. Kitts and Nevis’ Ambassador and Permanent Representative to the OAS, Dr. Everson Hull for a ceremony in Manhattan to commemorate the 263rd birthday celebrations of one of the United States’ founding fathers Alexander Hamilton.
Hamilton was born in Nevis on January 11, 1757.
The ceremony was held near the famous bull statue in the Financial District of New York City.
Hamilton is credited as the man who created the U.S. Financial System.
Other events to commemorate his birthday included a celebration at Trinity Church in Manhattan on Friday, January 10.
