(ZIZ News) — On Friday, the St. Kitts and Nevis National Carnival Committee gave residents a look at the young ladies and men who will be vying for various Carnival crowns this year.
Gracing the stage at Friday’s launch event were the National Carnival Queen Pageant contestants, the National Carnival Swimwear and Carnival Talented Teen Pageant contestants and for the first time, the National Carnival GQ participants.
The National Carnival Talented Teen Pageant will be contested by the winners of the various high school pageants. The show, which is twinned with the Teenage Calypso Monarch, is scheduled for Saturday December 26th.
In his remarks, Culture Minister the Hon. Shawn Richards commended all the contestants for taking the bold step of competing in this year’s National Carnival competitions.
Vying for the National Carnival Queen title on Sunday December 27th will be Miss Fast Cash Jaheida Lewis, Miss St. Kitts-Nevis Development Bank Rohanda Devent, Miss Flow Khyla Brown, Miss St. Kitts-Nevis-Anguilla National Bank Evania Thibou, Miss St. Kitts Music Festival Orngel Erskine and Miss Carib Brewery Jahnel Nisbett.
The Swimwear contestants are Miss Carib Brewery Shanika Joshua, Miss ZIZ Vanessa Destouche, Miss St. Kitts-Nevis-Anguilla National Bank Keelia English, Miss St. Kitts Music Festival Royisha Demming, Miss St. Kitts-Nevis Development Bank Alsanarda Hanley and Miss Mitcham And Benjamin Sidama Jones while the National GQ participants Are Halva Brown, Romaine Belgrove, Jevon Romney, Wricherly Gumbs, Glencav Garnett and Nadaski Percival.
These two competitions will be held on Sunday December 20th.
