BASSETERRE — The Skywalkers were crowned 2026 SKNABA National Bank & South Beach Promo Premier League Champions this week, closing out a Best-of-5 Finals series against the SOL Sandy Point Falcons to complete an undefeated championship season.
The Skywalkers entered the Finals as the top seed after finishing the regular season 14-0, the only unbeaten record in the league. The Sandy Point Falcons secured the second seed with a 10-4 record, while ASC Wolf Pack and Youth & Sport Eagles rounded out the four-team playoff field following the application of FIBA tie-break procedures.
Guard Cecil Angel was named Finals MVP after a dominant three-game stretch that helped seal the title. Over the course of the series, Angel posted 65 points, 22 rebounds, 21 assists, 22 steals and two blocks, contributing on both ends of the floor throughout the series.
League organizers credited the Skywalkers’ title run to consistency built over the course of the season, pointing to the team’s preparation and cohesion as key factors in its perfect regular-season record and postseason success.
The championship caps a season-long campaign for the Skywalkers, who will now carry the Premier League title into the 2027 season as SKNABA’s reigning champions.
