New Vehicles to Enhance Public Service Delivery, Says Petty

(ZIZ News) – The recent handover of several vehicles from the Government of the Republic of China (Taiwan) to the St. Kitts and Nevis Government will serve to improve efficiency in the public sector.

Four of the six vehicles promised were presented to the local government on Monday and according to Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of National Security Osmond Petty, the vehicles are critical to the work of the ministries and departments that they have been assigned to.

“Vehicles are critical to the work of Foreign Affairs and National Security and we have made many requests to the Taiwanese government for vehicles, some of them are still pending,” Petty stated.

“We want to say thank you to the Government of Taiwan, to the Resident Ambassador Mr. Chiou and his staff for their continued support to the Government of St. Kitts and Nevis; not only in the donation of vehicles but in all other areas,” he said.

The new vehicles are assigned to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of National Security and the kids Office of the Prime Minister.

The keys were presented by His Excellency Chiou to Minister of Foreign Affairs, the Hon. Mark Brantley, who received them on behalf of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and to Mr. Osbert DeSuza who accepted on behalf of the Office of the Prime Minister.
