Small Axe Band “Four Peats” as Road March Champs

(ZIZ News) – The Small Axe Band has won the Carnival Road March title for the fourth consecutive time.

With its catchy song, “Pepper Dem”, the Small Axe Band will hold bragging rights as the top band in St. Kitts and Nevis for another year.

Nu Vybes Band International with “Juicy Fruit” finished second in the Road March race while “Free Willy” by Kollision Band finished third.

Street Activities Chairperson, Ivor Blake announced the other winners on ZIZ Radio 96.1FM, starting with the J’ouvert troupes.

“In third place it’s GM Addix, in second place Shiggidy Shack J’ouvert Buccaneers and the overall winner for J’ouvert is Xtreme Nation,” Blake disclosed.

Banker’s Mas Camp also repeated as winner of the Best Carnival Troupe with the highly creative Golden Memories: #Ahcultrualselfie, which took residents and visitors back in time to early life in St. Kitts and Nevis.

In second place in that category was Fhunn Vybz and in third place was Ultra Carnival.

Small Axe Band also earned the prize for the Best Sounding Band on the road for J’ouvert and Grand Parade while the Nu Vybez Band claimed the prize for the Most Popular Band on the road for J’ouvert.
