CIBC FirstCaribbean announces another appointment to its senior wealth management team

Bridgetown, Barbados (3rd December, 2012) — CIBC FirstCaribbean has announced the appointment of Mr. Dan Wright, to the position of Director, Private Wealth Management, within its Wealth Management Senior Leadership Team.

An experienced wealth management and private banking leader, Mr. Wright has most recently performed the role of Senior Vice President & Head, International Wealth Management for Bank of Nova Scotia in Toronto with specific responsibility for their wealth management business in the Caribbean, Latin America and Asia.

He was also Chair of the BNS trust company in the Bahamas and a Director of a number of Caribbean based businesses in the Cayman Islands and Jamaica.

In that role and prior roles he defined, planned and executed the strategy to build and grow the wealth management group of businesses internationally and led wealth management professionals globally in many disciplines. In prior roles he was an original member of executive team creating the strategy for the domestic Wealth Management division in Canada and key to execution of the strategy and business
model.

Mr. Wright will initially be based in our Cayman Islands office which is one of our largest Wealth Management businesses.
