BASSETERRE — History was made at the St. Kitts Marriott Resort as Maya Zareiah Venice Marcellin of the British Virgin Islands captured the prestigious Belle Mont Resort Haynes Smith Miss Caribbean Talented Teen crown.
“Maya captivated the audience and judges alike with her incredible talent, grace, and poise, proving exactly why she is a force to be reckoned with,” organizers announced following the December 29 competition.
Saint Lucia’s Miya Johnson claimed first runner-up honors, while Anguilla’s Ailyn Tavarez Sanchez secured the second runner-up position.
The evening showcased exceptional talent across multiple segments. Johnson earned top honors in the Talent Segment with what judges described as a “heartfelt and moving dance performance” that “shared her soul on stage.”
St. Kitts and Nevis’ own Soriah Williams-Powell delivered a standout performance, winning the Evening Wear Segment with her “poise, grace, and elegance.” Guyana’s Athaliyah Felicien took Best Theatrical Wear with a creative tribute to legendary Guyanese musician Eddy Grant.
Nine delegates from across the Caribbean competed in the regional pageant, which celebrated youth culture, confidence, and creativity. The event featured performances by Desrie Markham, Ms. Caribbean Universe 2025, and recording artist Dejour.
Williams-Powell had aimed to keep the crown in the Federation, as the reigning queen was also from St. Kitts and Nevis. Despite falling short of the overall title, her Evening Wear victory highlighted the host nation’s strong representation.
The pageant was supported by numerous partners, including the Office of the Prime Minister and local media outlets.
