Building material thieves charged

(ZIZ News) — Police have arrested two persons for the theft of building materials on Nevis.

According to a police statement, between late January and recently, police have been investigating a number of cases of larceny that occurred at several construction sites in Nevis.

The police say several pieces of building materials were reported stolen. As a result of their investigations, on February 18, police officers executed a search warrant on the premises of Marcella Fahie and a number of stolen items were recovered from a structure that was under construction.

Both Marcella Fahie and her son, Glenville, were arrested and charged on Thursday, for larceny and receiving.

Police investigations into the matter are ongoing.
