Ceremonies for opening of Dieppe Bay Police station and start of construction of Tabernacle station on Monday

BASSETEERE, ST. KITTS, NOVEMBER 9TH 2011 (CUOPM) – Monday 14th November has been set as the date for the Official Opening of the new Dieppe Bay Police Station and the Ground Breaking for the start of construction of the Tabernacle Police Station.

Assistant Commissioner of Police, Mr. Joseph Richardson will chair the ceremony for the opening of the Dieppe Bay Police Station.

The ceremony which starts at 8:30 A.M. include the signing of the National Anthem by students of the Dieppe Bay Primary School, the Invocation by Force Chaplain, Pastor Leroy Benjamin and the Opening and Welcome Remarks by Commissioner of Police, Mr. C. G. Walwyn.

Public Works Department Engineer, Mr. George Gilbert gives an overview of the project.

Mexico’s Ambassador to the Federation of St. Kitts and Nevis, His Excellency Gerardo Lozano is down to give remarks and Prime Minister and Parliamentary Representative, the Hon. Dr. Denzil L. Douglas gives the Feature Address. The Vote of Thanks will be given by Assistant Commissioner of Police, Mr. Ian Queeley.

At the turning of the sod to mark the start of construction of the new police station in Tabernacle, the visiting Mexican Ambassador Lozana and Prime Minister Douglas will deliver remarks.

So too will be the parliamentary Representative for St. Christopher 7, Dr. the Hon. Timothy Harris.

Students of the Edgar T. Morris Primary School will make a presentation during the ceremony which starts at 10:00 A.M. on Monday 14th November.
