Coca Cola Shamrock Netball Club Has Done It Again!

Basseterre, St Kitts (8th August 2013): Thursday 1st August saw the Coca Cola Shamrock Netball Club accomplishing a major feat. For the sixth consecutive year, the women on their premiere team walked away with the St. Kitts-Nevis National Bank Sponsored Netball League Championship. Following a month and a half of matches, the Coca Cola Shamrocks and new comers East Ballerz from the Newtown Community emerged as the two top teams easily winning their respective zones. Fans at the Pam Tyson Netball Stadium watched with bated breath to see if East Ballerz, who were previously undefeated would snatch the championship away. Both teams exhibited great determination, zest and zeal but at the end of the match, CoCa Cola once again emerged the winners with a score of 31 to 24 in favour of Coca Cola Shamrocks.

Also playing that evening for third and fourth place in the league were the Turbo Plus Cayon Pacers (sponsored by Betty-Ann Gilbert) and the Polstars (sponsored by the Police Credit Union). Spectators decked out in their teams colours cheered on the players but it was the organge clad fans who rejoiced at the end of the match when Turbo Plus Cayon Pacers beat the police team 41 to 36.

At the close of the 2013 National Bank League, the management team of the St. Kitts-Netball Association wishes to congratulate all the teams who have the participated in the league and says to all the ladies and officials job well done!
