New Horizon Changes Location

ZIZ News–September 27 2013–The New Horizon Rehabilitation Centre moved its location just for one day from Saddlers to Basseterre in the vicinity of the First Caribbean Bank.

The occasion was an outreach activity.

The Ministry of Community Development, Culture and Gender Affairs wanted to educate the public about the services provided to protect children in the community.

Naeemah Hazelle-Menon, Deputy Director of New Horizons says the centre is currently pursuing some major projects, such as a step up program, which is a diversion and alternative sentencing program for youth at risk and in conflict with the law and a blue bear child sexual abuse prevention, which is a campaign to break the silence about child sexual abuse.

The outreach activity provided the public with the opportunity to learn all about these projects.
