Old Road man shot by Police after assaulting the officers

ZIZ News…April 28, 2012 — Officers of the RSCNPF arrested one Marvin Boon of Old Road for the Offence of Indecent Assault on a warrant in the first instance.

Marvin Boon was approached by members of the Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force in the Buckley’s Estate area; he chose to assault the Officers with a machete.

According to a release from the Public Relations Officer Sgt Stephen Hector, the police defended themselves against the armed attack by disabling the assailant with a gunshot to his leg. He further stated that though disarmed, the assailant continued his attack and bit into the leg of a police officer.

Both men had to seek medical attention at the JNF hospital for their injuries.

The Commissioner of Police wishes to thank the general public for their support given in assisting the RSCNPF in successfully locating and arresting Mr. Boon.
