Police brings charges against a number of law breakers

ZIZ News…Oct 8, 2012 — Formal charges have been brought against a foreigner who was caught with a weapon early last week. Karamo Gould was formally charged for Possession of Fire Arm and Possession of Ammunition, which was committed on 2nd October 2012 at Basseterre. He is expected to go before the court shortly to answer to his charges.

Meanwhile, Dwight Edwards of Conaree Village was formally charged for the offence of Larceny, which was committed on 3rd October 2012, and a young lady from Nevis Tishana Collins of Central Alley, Gingerland was formally charged for the offence of Obtaining Credit by Fraud.

This offence was committed between 24th April 2012 and 27th July 2012 at Best Buy Supermarket.

And at the Charlestown Magistrate’s Court two persons will have to pay a total of $25,000 dollars for cannabis possession.

Keron Michael of Saddlers, St. Kitts was convicted for Possession of Cannabis, which was committed on 29th September 2012 at Charlestown and was fined $1000.00 in three months or in default spend three months in prison with hard labour.

Javed Matthew of Christ Church, St. Kitts was convicted for Possession of Cannabis, which was committed on 29th September 2012 and was fined $1500.00 in six months or be confined prison for six months with hard labour.
