Police Commissioner Walwyn discusses training with USVI counterpart

BASSETERRE, ST. KITTS, JANUARY 18TH 2011 (CUOPM) – Commissioner of the Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force, Mr. C. G. Walwyn is describing as “very productive” his recent meeting with newly-appointed United States Virgin Islands Police Commissioner, Mr. Henry W. White Jr.

“In my discussions with the new USVI commissioner, we decided that starting in February, we will institute a tactical training programme,” said Commissioner Walwyn.

He said his discussions on crime in general and collaboration in reducing incidents, resulted in an agreement for an exchange programme between officers of the Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force (RSTCNPF) and the Virgin Islands Police Department (VIPD).

Commissioner Walwyn, who was born in St. Kitts, grew up in St. Croix and is a former USVI police pre-cadet and graduate of the St. Croix Central High School.
