Police Investigates burglary

St. Kitts, June 27, 2010) – On Thursday 24th June 2010 at approximately 2:20 am police responded to a report of burglary at Half Moon Bay. Police investigations revealed that Julius and Kam Bertie of Half Moon Bay who are nationals of England were at their Half Moon Bay home when they were attacked and injured at approximately 2:10 am. After their attacker fled the couple managed to drive to the Frigate bay Police Station and made a report at approximately 2:17 am.

The couple was transported to the JNF Hospital by police officers and they were admitted in serious but stable condition. The scene was processed by officers of the crime scene department and items of evidential value were taken into police custody for further analysis. There are no suspects in police custody however investigations are ongoing.

Meanwhile on Saturday 26th June 2010 police responded to a reporta of robbery which occurred at about 12:40 pm at Ottleys Village. Police investigations revealed that mask armed gunmen robbed a Carib Brewery delivery truck that was delivering drinks in the Ottleys area. The robbers escaped with an undisclosed sum of money and a cell phone. No one was injured during the attack. Though no arrest has been made, the police are in search of suspects. Investigations into this matter are ongoing.
