Police investigating a suspected suicide

ZIZ News…Dec. 22 2010 – The Police at the Frigate Bay Police Station are looking into a possible suicide involving a foreigner who resided in St.Kitts.

According to a release from the Press and Public Relations Officer of the Police Force, on Tuesday 21st December 2010 at approximately 5:30 pm police officers at the Frigate Bay Police Out Post received a report of man suspended from the door frame of the bathroom of his hotel room in the Frigate Bay Area.

The officers responded immediately and discovered the body of 31 years old Joeseph Anand Ras a national of Aruba who worked and resided in the Federation, suspended from the door frame of the bathroom of his hotel room.

The District Medical Officer visited the scene and pronounced Ras dead.

The release stated, there were no visible and obvious signs of foul play however; an autopsy will be performed at a later date to determine the cause of death. The body of Joeseph Ras was removed to a funeral home under police escort. Officers from the Crime Scene Department processed the scene and investigations are ongoing.
