ZIZ News—25th June, 2013–Leon Thompson of Stone Grove, Nevis was formally arrested and charged for Larceny of a Motor Vessel and Being Master of a Motor Vessel Leaving the Federation Without Proper Documentation, which were committed between 12th and 17th June 2013.

Tosh Boston of George Street, Newtown was formally arrested and charged for Threatening Language, which was allegedly committed on 21st June, 2013.

A juvenile was formally arrested and charged for the offence of Larceny, which was allegedly committed on 21st June, 2013.

Evron Williams of Boyds was formally arrested and charged on two (2) counts of Carrying Abroad an Offensive Weapon and Being Found with House Breaking Implements which were allegedly committed on 19th June, 2013.

Ambrose Buchanan of Crab Hill was arrested and charged for possession of cannabis which was allegedly committed on 21st June, 2013.

Lewis Powell aka “Big Smoke” of Fort Thomas Road was formally arrested and charged for Carrying Abroad an Offensive Weapon, which was allegedly committed on 18th June 2013.

Austin Belle of Bird Rock was formally arrested and charged for Larceny and Receiving, which were allegedly committed on 1st April 2013 at Frigate Bay.

Mervin Parris of Cotton Ground Village was formally arrested and charged for Larceny, which was committed on 21st March 2013, and Receiving which was allegedly committed on 9th June 2013.

Meanwhile: Adrian Patrick of Phillips Village pleaded Guilty to Indecent Assault on his arraignment on 14th May, 2013, and sentenced to three (3) years imprisonment which was reduced by one (1) year, therefore, he will serve two (2) years in prison; he ordered to receive Counselling for one (1) year.

Glenroy Pringle of Molyneaux was convicted for Driving a motor car when not the holder of a Driver’s Licence authorizing him to drive a motor vehicle of that class; Driving when not covered by a Policy of Insurance, and Driving Without Due Care and Attention which were allegedly committed on 20th January, 2013 at Frigate Bay road. He was fined $200.00 for Driving a motor car when not the holder of a Driver’s Licence authorizing him to drive a motor vehicle of that class which is to be paid in one (1) month or in default will serve fourteen (14) days in prison, $750.00 for Driving when not covered by a Policy of Insurance, which is to be paid in one (1) month or in default will serve one (1) month in prison, and $500.00 for Driving Without Due Care and Attention which is to be paid one (1) month or in default will serve one (1) month in prison.

Anthony Francis of Keys Village was convicted for the offences of Failing to Produce his Drivers’ Licence for inspection and Failing to Produce his Policy of Insurance for inspection which were allegedly committed on the 20th January 2013 on Frigate Bay Road. He was fined $100.00 for Failing to Produce his Drivers’ Licence for inspection, which is to be paid in four (14) day or in default will serve seven (7) months in prison and cautioned for Failing to Produce his Policy of Insurance for inspection.

James Webb of Cardin Avenue was convicted for the offence of Driving Without Due Care and Attention which was allegedly committed 27th April 2013 at Church Street, and fined $400.00 which is to be paid in one (1) month or in default will serve one (1) month in prison.

Trevor James of Challengers was convicted for the offence of Driving Without Due Care and Attention which was committed on 5th March 2013 at Lower College Street, and fined $300.00 which is to be paid in one (1) month or in default will serve fourteen (14) days in prison.

Ian Stevens of St Peters was convicted for the offence Driving Without Due Care and Attention which was committed on the 11th February 2013 at the Bay Road, and fined $400.00 which is to be paid in one (1) month or in default will serve fourteen (14) days in prison.

Sana Usman of Ocean Edge, Frigate Bay was convicted for the offences of Driving Without Due Care and Attention and Leaving the Scene of a Traffic Accident which were committed on the 14th June 2013 at Keys Village, and fined $400.00 for Driving Without Due Care and Attention which is to be paid in one (1) month or in default will serve fourteen (14) days in prison and cautioned for Leaving the Scene of a Traffic Accident.

In other news: Old Road Police Station is investigating a traffic accident which occurred along the Island Main Road at Lamberts on 22nd June, 2013 involving Motor Omni Bus and a Cargo Truck which left two (2) persons hospitalised. Commissioner of Police Mr. CG Walwyn takes this opportunity to encourage motorists to drive within the speed limit and with responsibility in order to avoid unnecessary traffic accidents.
