Police warned to not ignore the small crimes

ZIZ Newsroom…Basseterre, St Kitts (July 19, 2010) – The Minister of National Security is warning police officers not to overlook the small crimes as they tackle the bigger ones.

The Hon Sam Condor was at the time speaking during a meeting with the police force on Friday at police headquarters.

According to a statement from the police force Minister Condor insisted that the police force must aggressively tackle the minor violations of the law to eliminate the possibility of these becoming major incidents of crime.

The minister thanked the officers for their contribution and support in ensuring the safety of the citizens and visitors of the federation.

He highlighted the effect of second jobs on the performance of the force and encourages officers to exhibit a high level of professionalism when interacting with the public.
