The Theme of the 2012 International Museum Day, “Museums in a Changing World. With new technologies comes new ideas and modern museums must compete for an audible voice against the furious pace of development.

On International Museums Day, Friday, May 18th from 9am to 12noon the NHCS aims to increase public awareness of the role of museums in our developing society and the programme for the day will be “The Good Old Days.” We have invited some of our senior citizens to interact with our primary school children to show how we used our household items in the ‘good old days’ verses their modern day equivalent. This display will be conducted only at the Museum of Nevis History at Belle Vue on Friday, May 18th from 9 am to 12 noon.
