St.Kitts Music Festival and Culturama joint promotion activity- A success!

NEVIS (JUNE 7, 2010): The 2010 Miss Culture Queen and Miss Culture Swimwear Pageant contestants as well as national artistes Jah Fire, Pepper Ranks, C-Money and SMI were the VIPs in a massive islandwide whistle stop in Nevis yesterday afternoon (Saturday 5th June).

The event which is being hailed a success, came as a joint promotion activity between the St. Kitts Music Festival Local Promotion & Marketing Committee and the Nevis Culturama Pageant Committee.

Leading the motorcade was Miss Culture 2009, Masinda Nisbett.

Several stops were made around the island as the impressive line of vehicles came to a halt in areas such as New Castle, Gingerland, Bricklin and Pancho’s Bar in Cole Hill – The Pit Stop, where flashing cameras and the many onlookers created an atmosphere of star quality treatment, for both the beauties and artistes alike.

Double bubble phone cards compliments LIME (Landline, Internet, Mobile and Entertainment) – a longstanding sponsor of the St. Kitts Music Festival and Nevis Culturama – were distributed to residents who had rushed to see the spectacle.

One last stop was made in the heart of the city, Charlestown, where an impressive crowd gathered to relish in the ambiance of fun and togetherness.

The visiting artistes from St. Kitts were introduced and wetted the appetite of those in attendance, by giving a sample of what to expect on the World Class St. Kitts Music Festival, slated June 24-26 at the Warner Park Stadium.

The pageant contestants were also introduced to the public.

Chairperson of the Miss Culture Queen Committee, Nicole Williams-Lawrence encouraged the general public to support the young ladies in the upcoming beauty events and the Culturama on a whole. She also encouraged those in attendance to patronize the St. Kitts Music Festival.

Four lucky winners walked away with a Music Festival ticket for a night of their choice after being quizzed about facts on the festival and the artistes.

The 2009/2010 Culturama Road March Champions, the Odyssey Band (out of Nevis) brought the curtains down on the event with a jam session with its many fans and supporters.

The Miss Culture Queen Pageant and the Miss Culture Swimwear Pageant are scheduled for August 1. and July 25. respectively.

The St. Kitts Music Festival Committee through its Local Promotion & Marketing Committee Chairman – Mr. Lester Ible, would to thank Mr. Sooty Byron Chairman of Culturama and his committe members, through the Queen Pageant Committe chairperon for this collaborative effort.

This effort though, would not have been a success if it wasn’t for the support of our Platinum sponsor LIME, contributors Harper’s, Athlete’s Foot, Richie’s Diamond Gallery and Xpress Events who will be offering for the first time at the St. Kitts Music Festival, a VIP Experience.
