And During a press conference on Tuesday Patriots Head Coach Eric Simons says there is a new sense of confidence throughout the entire team.

“They weren’t just two wins, they were particularly significant wins against…I think all of the opposition in the tournament are significant. They’re all good sides, they’re all good players,” he said.

“There’s confidence in the unit. I think the thing that we’re all very pleased about is that success hasn’t just come from one area. Sheldon Cottrell has bowled pretty well; Afridi has bowled pretty well, Shamsi’s bowled well, Tanvir has been consistent, batting and runs have been scored by different players. I think from that perspective there is confidence because it’s looking very balanced and very solid as a unit,” he added.

Meanwhile, Captain of the Guyana Amazon Warriors, Denesh Ramdin says they’re aware of the Patriots win streak and have been discussing strategies to break it.

“Their momentum has shifted from losing games and they’re winning. They’re on a streak at this point in time. In the last one we had the upper hand on them but we have players we need to discuss and it’s a new game, a new day…same opposition but they’re top order has been scoring a lot of runs for them. So if our new ball bowlers can get that inroad and expose their middle and lower order…I know we have wicket-takers in the middle overs so it’s very important that we not let them get off to that start that they’re accustomed to in the last couple of games,” he said.

The Patriots and the Warriors will face each other on Wednesday at 4pm at Warner Park followed by Barbados Tridents vs. St. Lucia Zouks.
