Young man found dead in an alley at Shaw Avenue

ZIZ News…June 1, 2012 — Police are investigating a shooting incident in Mc Knight that has left a young man dead bringing to eight the number of homicides so far this year.

According to police reports, popular barber, Dale Wattley better known as “Hot Boy” was shot and killed in an alley near Upper Shaw Avenue at around 9:30 last night.

Details surrounding the incident are still sketchy and no-one has been taken into custody as yet.

A large crowd had gathered at Upper Shaw Avenue where members of the Criminal Investigations Department and Crime Scene Technicians were seen conducting investigations.

31 year old Wattley, along with Chad Williams founded the New Mentality Team Club in an effort to keep young men off the streets and preach the message of peace and unity.

They recently took part in a farming project designed to give young men skills to be self sufficient.

Wattley was an outspoken young man on the crime and violence not only in the Island but in his community specifically, having turned his life around.
